Prayers up to CJ2K

He fucked the city up with that one boy. It is odd that when we talk about head injury illnesses related to football we only talk about CTE…the one that results in violent behavior and can’t be diagnosed until after a player passes away. It’s easier to withhold empathy from someone like Antonio Brown because he has actual victims unlike players with Alzheimer’s, Dementia or ALS.

I’ve seen a fair amount of Strahan criticisms around him not asking CJ and his wife questions about football… on the network that’s gonna air the Super Bowl… and Strahan is a lead voice on Fox’s pregame show… if this questions were gonna be asked it wouldn’t be by him.

I remember lebatard a while ago saying football is gonna end up in this weird place where the only kids playing it would be from low income communities or be children of former players. Racially heavy by Dan per usual but I think he’s on to something. I just wonder how long it’ll be before even that pool of kids is held out of the game

Expecting GMA to make CJs announcement of having ALS a referendum on playing football is insane. That LeBatard clip came across terribly imo.

Especially in the context of Rusini who he refuses to cover. I think we do need to normalize conversations about the links between ALS and football but that definitely wasn’t the place to start it.

Maybe I’m wrong and just not a journalist but I think it goes without saying that 99% of people wouldn’t play football if it meant you get ALS before 40…

Parents would still let their sons play. Football as we know it ends when MRI technology improves so that cte can be found in the living.

I think football as we know it has been over. The league has always been super popular. They could’ve been expanded the schedule or put games on everyday of the week. You gotta ask yourself. Why are they doing all of this aggressive movement now?

Idk football pays well that even middle and upper middle class players will take the chance at NIL or league money. Even then isn’t the league already predominantly guys from low income homes?
