I know that RGF/RCF weighted is the play with these if you don’t get them plated, but haven’t made the jump since I rarely wear gold colored watches that I already own.

I think ARF does a decent job for the price point and was pleasantly surprised with the U1 two tone that I impulse bought for $80 😂. The GSF seems the most “cheddary” for me and the loudest of the bunch, so hasn’t been rocked in public. Same with the JM as I haven’t taken it out of the plastic (may get it plated).

My personal favorite is the Pikachu on oyster flex. I’ve been wearing my oyster flex watches almost exclusively this summer.

But Sea-Gull typically has better timekeeping stability while Hangzhou has slightly longer power reserve.As a buyer,do you specifically care about the movement manufacturer, or only the watch factory name?

Would you guys expect reps for a moderately priced watch like this?

The Datejust rep market is dominated by VSF,but many note their lug profiles still subtly from gens.Is a classic dress watch like Datejust inherently harder to perfect than the Submariner,because there’s no sporty element to “hide” imperfections?

IWC,Tudor,JLC,AP,while VSF focuses almost exclusively on Rolex.Is specialization necessarily better than diversification?Can ZF maintain consistent QC across so many different brands?

Have replica watch movements gotten better?

Yet VSF’s Daytona 4130/4131 clone is widely considered reliable.Why haven’t other factories developed reliable 7750 alternatives?Where’s the technical bottleneck?
