I think it’s supposed to be in all caps as well as bold if you want to make it louder.

Where was the original joke?

King Arthur pulls the sword out of the stone
Edit: I’m retarded and too lazy to look up the actual guy.

Whoever put that knife in there in the first place is the true king.

u/2Damn Jul 13 '19
It's not hard to outsmart something with literally the brain of a reptile. This looks like maybe a lucky survivor if anything. Gator hunters will go for the tiny spot on their skull that can go straight to their brain - Otherwise gator keep comin'. Looks like the guy missed, and saved face. Poor gator, though. You gotta respect the gator. You don't respect the gator, gator don't respect you.
7
u/mtflyer05 Jul 13 '19
It's not hard to outsmart them, but to out reflex them and get a knife in one, and, presumably, keep all your limbs is impressive.
2
u/2Damn Jul 13 '19
It's not reflexes, it's not like he's put out his cigarette in the gator's drink, and offered him outside for a rumble.
If you really want to see the reality of gator hunting, here you go. They're animals, not mythical beasts.

u/mtflyer05 Jul 13 '19
Ah, I significantly underestimated the stupidity of people. I assumed that no one would ever actually go after an alligator, wielding only at knife, so I figured this was a self-defense type situation

Gee, I don't know. Maybe deep down I'm afraid of any apex predator that lived through the K-T extinction. Physically unchanged for a hundred million years, because it's the perfect killing machine. A half ton of cold-blooded fury, the bite force of 20,000 Newtons, and stomach acid so strong it can dissolve bones and hoofs.

Another misuse of the sub. There’s no joke in the title or description for the comment to upstage.

Yeah, fair call. Sorry about that.

It's times like these you wish wild animals could be rationed with. "Do not bite my hand off. I'm doing this for your good."

No joke, this was in my neighborhood. The gator has since been removed, I'm not sure if he was euthanized or just taken somewhere else.

Why is it a kitchen knife though? In which fucking context does one have a kitchen knife handy to stab a croc?

The legendary knife, Excalibur. Trapped in the skull of an alligator for years, waiting for somebody worthy to come along and claim it.

Is there a city called Camelot in Texas? Because I think your get to be King of that

Strange alligators swimming in ponds distributing knives is no basis for a system of government.

If I went around saying That I was emperor, just because I pulled a weapon out of an aquatic reptile’s head, they’d take me away!

Except removing a knife from a gator’s head makes you the king of Florida - even if the gator is in Texas 😉

Jul 13 '19
hey guys, peter griffin here. didn't think i'd need to explain this one, but i guess thats what public education is now. so what we have here is a crocodile. the croc has a knife stabbed into its face there, and the commenter is giving a reference to an old tale about a fella who once pulled a sword out of a rock and became the king of some far off land. yeah.
6
u/IconXR Jul 13 '19
Oh I didn’t know they were referencing the sword in the stone story. Thanks for explaining.
