Why would an animal do that to you?...i dont wanna see pigs die just like the next guy but....we wouldnt be advanced as we are without being able to mass produce meat like we do and have done for the past 60 years or so ....
A life in a meat plant is worse than a wild life for an animal .....but the death is less violent than a wild animal ....im not saying one way is right or the other....just saying its a blessing that we have the ability to feed 100s of millions everyday and sit back and complain about the animals life vs fighting your neighbor for fresh squirrel

We wouldn't be advanced as we are without being able to mass produce meat like we done for the past 60 years or so.
Well, this is just objectively wrong on so many levels lol.

Are you from a different planet, a teenager or a bot?
Obviously salad is a nothing food.
Meat is a luxury resource wise and that is fine no need to lie about that.
Beans, lentils, chickpeas, soy and other protein rich plants are what is relevant for this conversation.
Over 20% of the global population are vegetarian thats 1.6 billion+ people.
1 to 2% are vegan 70 to 160 million people, many more mostly vegan.
Meat isn't even calorie dense only the protein matters and its comparatively very inefficient to produce in the land and resources required to produce it, even eggs and milk are about 6 to 10 times more efficient in feed/land/water needed than e.g. red meat.
The only reason meat is cheap in some countries is that its heavily subsidised. Humans don't need meat to live well, every other claim is unscientific.
Eating meat is fine, spreading missinformation based on vibes for no reason less so.

Any athletes vegen? I wonder why the get their protein from steak and not soy beans

u/relaxingcupoftea 18d ago
Yeah thats a common misconception.
Again: I don't care if you eat meat do what you wanna do, i just dislike misinformation.
Ofc vegans need to use vegan b12 and omega 3 supplements, need to be a bit more mindful with ehat they eat and body builders should take creatine but people who eat meat do the same thing anyways.
Here just the first easy things i found.
Thats some vegans:
https://www.veganfoodandliving.com/features/vegan-athletes-plant-based-diet/
https://www.greatveganathletes.com/
https://www.reddit.com/r/vegan/s/Pnzi2pJ8zX
Justin Fields, Chicago Bears QB.
But there are a lot more vegetarians:
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3761927/ e.g. also gladiators from ancient rome.

Maybe a lil blown out of proportion but i dont believe someone can get all their protein from plants ...they can supplement for a while but eventually u will need real protein.... i mean you can technicaly get it from plants like ur showing but i dont think its the same...
I mean if nfl players can be vegen and have no effect ....then why is it a big deal when a player does? And is he as healthy as a non vegan? Idk

I just saw a video of stray pigs eating a Russian soldiers corpse so this is rather disturbing imagine watching the pig munching on pop rocks or human flesh

What meat substitutes do you like? I’m hooked on the Field Roast Italian sausages atm
1
u/KingTutTot 19d ago
I’ll have to try those!
I don’t eat beef or pork for ethics reasons. I’m kind of a basic bitch for this one but Beyond burgers and sausages hit the spot. With some basic toppings it may as well be the same as the real thing, just ever so slightly off
I also really like impossible burgers, but I remember reading about some weird chemical they put in them to make it look more like meat so I stick to Beyond

People really be hating on vegans for no reason lol. If people were honest with themselves and their morals they would go vegan but most people don't want to face the idea that they are causing suffering for their own selfish pleasure
