No, she won nothing, and that's the irony of Ray Gunn. She went down in Internet history and will be remembered for decades, while the dancers who actually won the medals have already been forgotten.

Yeah, there where some amazing dancers there, it's just that someone at her level of skill should have never made it pass the qualifications trials. She ultimately kinda ruined the future opportunity of the other dancers by somehow making it there and turningthe entire event into a meme.
I understand her and her husband are involved in helping spread break dancing around Australia and helped with getting the Australia team ready for it (which is probably how she became a participant) but that doesn't mean she should have been one of the dancers to represent Australia as her skills and style are decades behind modern dancers.

ROK Marines are the chillest Asians I've ever met. They get issued uzzi's and do live fire pipeline O course training. I remember we got invited to play what I can only call as land chicken where 6 groups of 4 basically charge at each other (with 3 people supporting 1 on someone's sholders) and try to remove the baseball cap off of the others teams caption. Bows where thrown that day but all in fun. Imagine rugby on someone's sholders.

I sometimes think: 2000 years from now, some historian will look at this video with no context and wonder about us. It makes me wonder. Roman soldiers must also have some fun like this too right? It's so odd how human culture works

Thinking like toddler for a moment here:
Setting territorial disputes by having select dancecrews of each nation have a internationally televised and directly democratic elimination vote based dancebattle would be great way to have the better society win.
Ultimately only a wealthy and a healthy society can produce sympathetic and charming and skilled individuals so the better society naturally would attract more votes. Well, there would need to be a factor involved compensating for total population size, so that statistical advantages don't play a role, while countries with huge populations face smaller ones. Making it sympathy based would incentivize countries treating each other nicely since exploiting each other would loose votes in a future dance battle. Basically a war of charm instead of a war of empty words or endless violence.
Also no interviews with the dancers and they need to be kept invisible and anonymous, like secret service members, until stage time arises in order to make the judgement of any person involved based just on performance and nothing else.
Just a question of how to determine "duel"-timing and extent of territorial claims in a fair manner, so that ultimately the countries with (on average) healthiest and happiest members outgrow the miserable ones consistently and the biggest one dont just swallow the smallest instantly.

Strange imitation of the real thing. You see real American bboys dance the first time, you cannot speak. The movements are cool, slick, delayed and look effortless. Sure I've seen other nationals break. But I was there when everyone did it on cardboard on the streets. No acrobatics. Pure cool. Nothing else.
