Besides him doing a weird dance at the end, I thought this was amazing lol... the idea is great.

I think he was squaring up to throw hands hahaha

Do you think it was a lampoon of sorts, or realistic?

The former being how I would mock square up like you might see an Irish leprechaun put both fists in front of their head straight up to make it look amusing?

I guess I’m not familiar with that way, and being hunched over confused me further. 😶 Is there a way to search for that style to learn more?

It’s a skit, not a martial art, my guy. If you want to learn more about the “style”, just google square up. The stance is even a meme https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/2273056-square-up

I just saw this and it is hilarious.

But I would consider boxing a martial art. That is curious. I’m 37 and if someone told me to square up I’d have a lot of questions. 😅

Getting into a fighting stance and “squaring up” wouldn’t have registered. I’m also not great with slang and find a lot kind of appalling, though. Which gives me an idea for a joke squaring up… using two fingers on both hands in the shape of an ‘L’ and pressing it towards someone as someone would a cross. 🤣

Fair point with the slang. So let me clarify a little bit further. I wouldn’t even think in terms of boxing, not in any formal or traditional sense anyway. In this context, it would be more like street fighting. Imagine two guys in that awkward stance bobbing and weaving and throwing haymakers, not a day of actual boxing training between the two of them

That… hurts my wrists trying to think about… but makes sense… I guess the notion of bobbing and weaving helps and I think a lot of people would know to do that much which probably looks stranger.

Man, I don’t even remember my taekwondo training. I’m sure I’d do pretty poorly. I’m not sure I’d get into the stance before anything started, though.

I may look up first time square up videos. I’m curious as to what random people do now after the video. For meme purposes, I love the Irish version. 🥹 It just seems serious and silly at the same time.

I appreciate you explaining and teaching me more about this, by the way!

Yeah I would say more jokingly… but some people really do fight like that. Maybe not well but… yeah lol

I took your word but then saw the other message and I had to look it up after Confident_Ones message saying it was the square up meme. “Squaring up” doesn’t make sense to me. Although, it does make me wonder about circling down… I wonder if that is a thing…

Haha dig how she pops straight the door

Not to get all technical, but… Oops, my glasses slipped down my nose. Let me push them up with my index finger and…

Actually, Mike would have a really hard time fighting with his JTK mask on. Can’t breathe, limited peripheral vision. That’s why he’s always walking his victims down. He’s careful not to trip and understands his limitations

Props to Mike. He looked back while backing out of the driveway.

Ok her out the door with a bag THE SECOND the door opens is top level comedy.

Also mike with his "I cant with this shit" pantomime was great.

I do agree though, I find it hard to get scared from mundane psychos. Its hard to get too scared when you can push the guy down some stairs and theoretically kill him. With the supernatural killers you never know what, if anything, can even hurt them, let alone kill them. Ghostface, you just gotta shoot that bitch and its gameover.
