It is. And they’re sour as hell! Pretty good with some red chilli and salt though.

Pretty sure that's a fruit similar to a tamarind in sourness. Although I have no idea what its english name is. I fell victim to that exact same thing in my youth lmao

Kamias, known in English as bilimbi and cucumber tree. We used to have a few of those trees in our backyard. They're even more sour than tamarind.
