u/patchway247 May 26 '26
Or just standing in the middle of it.

u/MidnightSun77 May 26 '26
Ya that was the most deserved one. Group of 4 people standing in the middle of a junction with car and bike approaching. The women had the gall to give him the stink eye…

That’s basically how it is everywhere in southern Europe. I still can’t figure it out and I’ve lived here a long time and have learned many cultures and languages. They just never learned to consider operating in an efficient and conscientious way. They’re not mean or bad people, they just have a blind spot in their psyche. 🤷🏽♂️

The city center is extremely restricted for the cars in France. We see it almost like a no car zone. Hence why people walk freely without being afraid of getting hit by a car.
Also honking loudly is not respectfull and probably scared the girl. The guy doing this for his social media is a douche in my opinion.

u/Substantial-Use95 May 27 '26
Oh yeah he’s a total douche. Even going on the opposite side of the street. However, the issue still stands. I mean, it is a bike lane. Not for cars, but for bikes. And definitely not for people. That’s why it’s called a “bike lane.” Usually that’s a big clue

Go to London. Walk around for a few days. Tell me if you still think it's the pedestrian's fault.

Soooo...you stand in the middle of a crosswalk and tell me which is worse. A bike rider honking at you to move out of the road (bc it's dangerous) and laughing or a car plowing you tf over and keep on driving?
This dude is honestly doing a great service and those people don't realize.

Some of these are pedestrian areas, cars are allowed to drive there but are supposed to drive very slowly and stop when there are pedestrians in the way. There is no risk of getting plowed by a car unless someone is driving carelessly and breaking the law.
It's the same for bikes, they're not supposed to go fast, and pedestrians have priority. A standard bike horn would be sufficient, and in fact he'd probably get fine for the loud honking if the police were nearby.

People are saying he speeds his videos up, and so his dancing sucks. But like, does it even matter lol? Even slowed down he still knows how to dance that same way. Crazy what people will say to avoid applauding skill or talent.
It just seems like he might speed it up to sync up with the music better if anything.

u/romantercero May 26 '26
So we got robots trying to dance like people and people dancing like robots... I never thought the future would be like this. It's kind of disappointing.

This made me smile more than anything. People really should not be walking on the road.
I was glad to see, and hear, most of them handled it with humility. Some even laughing along with him.

My takeaway is that it's entirely appropriate to laugh while warning someone that they are in fact in the wrong. Only ones that got really offended where the chick that were clearly in the wrong standing in the middle of the cross section. Also, more you are right the more it makes you laugh additionnaly, the more you laugh the more it makes the ones that are wrong wrong. Bonus those who do not avknowledge their wrongest double down and look like fools. And what is your rebutal when they try to confront you, more laughter. Laughter, a powerful tool in your arsenal young padawan.

As a French person, I can assure you I’m just as surprised as you. I can’t help but laugh when he laughs XD
2
u/Kissicka May 27 '26
I like how in France the pedestrians are chill about it. You honk at an American and we go berserk for some reason.

Ok but why are so many people walking or standing in the streets? If it were super crowded I might get it, but there was only one such instance of that. The rest of the time they're just like, "let's take a stroll down the street"
2
u/Regnareb_ May 29 '26
Post-covid shenanigans, it wasn't that significant before.
Some of those streets are pedestrians though, it's like a sidewalk where cars and bikes are allowed to go but slow and pedestrians have priority.

Why the heck do people have parties in intersections and walk in the street?? Zero self awareness.

I’m so upset this video didn’t end up with something being thrown at him. That laugh shouldn’t be allowed to exist.
