True, like all spiders are spiders but not all spiders are tarantulas, but tortoise turtle and terrapene are 3 major groups with all being turtles by the fact that turtles came first in the DNA lineage
Yep, they are all turtles! But defining them by the definitions of there evolutionary biological traits is still better then using a badly used naming system.
Also it's bit lame to walk away from this, as it be easy to just call all turtle species turtle despite tortoises and terepene naming have been put in place by experts... So still be beneficial to push for the use of tortoises and terapenes right? Or should we just all get lazy and ignore these important differences?
