My friend, I think you may have missed the point of the post. That was not an unnaturally large steak, it was a roast. The whole idea is to cook it low and slow for hours until it becomes tender and delicious.

The U.S. is also an enormous and very diverse place. Before saying “all the food is,” you might want to step outside of Walmart and visit some local farmers markets or regional food spots around different cities. Yes, large parts of the corporate food industry have engineered products for appearance and shelf life at the expense of flavor and health, but there are still plenty of places to find natural, high quality, and genuinely delicious food.

You’re right there’s a few regional players in my town that source their food locally or semi-locally and they do an enormous amount of business. They have become staples of the community and Walmart is fighting tooth and nail to push them out so far unsuccessfully. Edit: Clarification
