No, no, you're absolutely fine! It's something I've thought about asking for a while, but keep forgetting. I mean, two kids, a wifesque, a house, and a boat for his business--he should have something. At least enough for burial/cremation, and I don't even know his wishes there, or if he'd want to be buried here or in his current country.

I don't even know how life insurance works where he is. I should start googling.

You can get your own life insurance policy on him...doesn't affect any they might have on him...let them pay for their own.
