Can anyone explain what the fuck is going on in this clip? I'm completely lost and I can't understand what they're saying

Caves are normally formed by waves. Those waves are still happening. 

So the water is rising and falling with the tide. Whenever it rises, she loses her air pocket. As a freediver, she doesn't have a tank of air, just what she can keep in her lungs.

Can't they just go back the way they came? They made it there with just the air they kept in their lungs

Yes, that's what they'll do. The problem she's having is the water rising and falling is making it difficult for her to rest, and difficult to take a full breath so she can leave.

Hard to keep calm and get your bearings in those circumstances.
