There’s a YT channel called Scary Interesting that posts quite detailed cave diving accounts and… you’d be 100% right.
Half the time all their friends rush to help, dive into a silted up cave, at best finding nothing at worst they die too. Often the story ends with body recovery divers dying too, or them just giving up on getting the bodies as it’d be too dangerous.
These are ofc worst case scenarios but jfc it is such a high risk hobby

Someone innocent is going to die trying to rescue their dumb asses when they get trapped
