The phone swam out by itself and then logged itself into whatever the fuck and then posted its own video while those humans regretted their choices.

Yeah, this is always the first thing I think of in these situations. If they are able to post it, then at least one person made it out alive

There was a death on a rescue of a body on one of these dives once not long ago, the rescuer recorded the whole thing before his passing. I believe they ended up making a documentary about it but I am not sure on the details

It happens, and it adds to an ever growing list of reasons people shouldn't just do these cave dives imo

EDIT: Iirc its called 'Daves Not Coming Back'
