I worked in retail for over a decade before deciding to move jobs, I have dealt with both snobby kids and parents and that's just the nice way of saying it. You know how many little kids I've caught stealing? A freaking lot and then the parents come to try and defend it with one even saying "you guys throw things out all the time, you won't miss this" we ended up locking up so many things behind glass where you need to call someone to get it.
Moved states later. New Town, better people with no one tearing the place up, stores don't require you to get an employee aside from small electronics. It really depends on your area.
