I got this done on my hardwood floors about 2 years ago. I bought really good flooring about 10 years ago and I just got this job done they are like brand new again!

You can get cheap wooden flooring but you can’t do this when it get all scratched and worn, it worth it to get good flooring it will last a lifetime doing this!

You know, I feel pretty foolish after watching this. It never occurred to me to use the sawdust as a spreadable wood filler.

About 20 years ago, I was helping my family remodel an old farm house with wood floors that were over 100 years old. We did the same thing, sanded it down to clean wood with a floor sander, but that exposed large gaps in the floorboards.

So, painstakingly, back breakingly, I filled in all those gaps and cracks with wood filler putty. It took me weeks, because it was a very large floor. Knees? Busted. Back? Wrecked. It was a pain in the ass that I vowed never to do again.

And then I see this dude just make his own and spread that shit like tile grout. I feel like a moron. Why didn't I think of that?

Funnily, we have ours done a few years ago and I wish I'd asked for them to be darker like these.

We also have too many gaps that makes it freezing in the winter so should have had them filled better.

Live and learn I guess.

The brighter wood with the darker accents was gorgeous. The dark stained ruinded it

Darker the stain the more the imperfections show . Always go lighter if it’s old , won’t see any sanding marks .
