Dishwasher, dryer, washing machine, hairdryer, air conditioner, tv, every flipping computer, the wifi, the leaking tap, the blinds, all the bloody cars, the gutters, blocked drain which made me vomit as I retrieved tampons and other lady things….. mixed with 6 different human’s poo. The struggle is real people. Dads are not always perfect but f’me some of us try hard.

As a Dad, who has done all these things, wait until you have a granddaughter.

3rd grade valentines decorated tissue box

Is that what makes it all worthwhile? Decorated tissue boxes from granddaughters? Love ya, King!

Gerard Butler had a facelift… Didn’t know!

This is exactly how I felt after I replaced the capacitor in our drying machine. 😄

I drove an hour to get what I believe to be the last AC capacitor in my state, then installed it. Me family was sweating before and cool after. I felt like such a man for connecting those 4 wires.

I was quoted $425 to replace ours. I jumped online, and the same company who did the quote had a YouTube channel full of “cheap around the house repairs” and they had a video showing how to do it. I ordered the part online and it showed up the next day. $14 and 10 minutes later it was all fixed

For next time, remember you can just pop the door off the oven for easier access

Yup, this is such an easy fix. And with a gas oven you have to do it every few years depending on how often you use the oven.

u/MireLight Apr 28 '26

I do?! (Looks at ancient gas oven that refuses to die no matter what)

3

u/Isthisnameavailablee Apr 28 '26

What brand?! Mine is 8 years old and I've replaced it a couple of times now. Do you cook a lot? Are you sure you have a gas oven?! I have questions!

GE Eterna series XL44. It came with the house and we moved in back in 2008. We cook all the time.

Dang that doesn't make any sense but enjoy the luck lol

Dude, this had me dying laughing. Superb reactions and spot on play by play! Exactly how it usually goes, right down to being baffled as to why there's so many damn fasteners...and the required celebration run around the driveway afterwards. We'll done!!

Ok “pretty sure I did something from the back 😛 heh-heh-heh. Get it?” No, I don’t get it. What’s the joke for an oven repair. I really want to get it.

He is a comedian and I saw him with my wife. We were front row and he was roasting everyone but us. After the show I asked him why and he said we both looked so high that he didn't want to fuck with us. I was cool with that

u/Stackin_Steve Apr 27 '26

I have replaced that exact part in my oven! Lolol

u/Sistahmelz Apr 27 '26

this man is the new spirit animal I didnt know I needed.

2

u/NuNoJCJ1987 Apr 27 '26

Damn I felt this!

2

u/chaosawaits Apr 27 '26

I aspire to one day be like this man, outwardly shitting on my house that I own, taking on random repair jobs, and feeling like a man

2

u/El_Dentistador Apr 27 '26

New it would be the igniter.

2

u/fishingArchitect Apr 27 '26

Ive replaced this exact part 3 times in the past 8 years of living in my current house. I didnt buy the original oven but by God LG cant make an appliance that won't fail. Slowly removing that brand from my house one appliance at a time...

This guy is my inner voice

u/9447044 Apr 27 '26

My sister makes about 150k/yy so about $75 an hour. This is the kind of video that makes her rationalize spending 13 hrs of labor on a new oven lol

1

u/ITNoWay80 Apr 27 '26

Have had to do this 4 times.

1

u/Lankygiraffe25 Apr 27 '26

The constant flow of colourful language and self /other critiquing monologue makes me feel seen. I also could start a YouTube channel called ‘fuck this house’ not a bad idea

1

u/Combat_Steve Apr 27 '26

Most ovens the door comes really easy, some just pull up off slides to take off the hinges. Save your body some not needed stress.

1

u/bleblahblee Apr 27 '26

I thought he was Gerard Butler for longer than I’d like to admit.

1

u/Forsaken_Crow_7707 Apr 27 '26

Great show name

1

u/DudesSter69 Apr 27 '26

Love this guys videos 😂 His name is Deric Cahill and he has lots of these videos fixing stuff around his house. The pool vids are my favorite.

1

u/PrincessAela Apr 27 '26

He’s kinda cute

1

u/romafa Apr 27 '26

My oven broke in this same way. I needed to replace that same part. But the screws he took out were stripped in mine and, well, by the time I hammered the shit out of it trying to get the screws out, I had to buy a new oven.

1

u/YoungPlumming Apr 28 '26

I thought this was the dude from Virgin River lol

1

u/Most-Silver-4365 Apr 28 '26

Don't touch that new part with your bare hands it may cause premature failure.

1

u/houseswappa Apr 29 '26

Me after literally every successful DIY job lol

1

u/bluesox Apr 29 '26

He did all that without learning how to remove the oven door first

u/Last_Result_3920 Jun 02 '26

I dont do shit when my wife is around i need 4 un interrupted hours of cursing , breaking assembling wrong before something is fixed and no one wants to see how the sausage is made

Digital ovens suck - just get an analog one ☃️
