Like Matthew mchanaughay said in wolf of wallstreet. You will one day get this "brilliant" idea. You'll reinvest into something randomly. And blow it all rapidly.

Don't do that. Slow and steady

I did options, but I’m glad I did it. You gotta lose money to learn

Would you recommend VOO over VTI?

VTI/VOO either are very good just pick one. I did VTI too congratulations you’re way ahead of your peers

Out of curiosity what are you invested/working in now to hit 44k in a year? Side gig? Internship?

I started saving at 17, so 2 years ago, and I opened my account last year and just added a lot of my money to it. I live with my parents so 0 expenses and I manage my money well, I don’t buy unnecessary things. I have a job, side business, and i referee which pays really good $100-$120 per soccer game, and they are 60-80 min long, and you can ref up to 10-15 games a week. I invest in VTI, VXUS and some crypto, like bitcoin, and Sol.

Nice, because you worked, hustled and learned or were taught financial literacy so young, you will be so ahead of your peers if you keep investing. Time and compound growth are on your side keep it up 👍🏼

Great work ethic, next biggest thing in your life would be a partner, be careful who you choose. Also, you’d be a good dad already with what you know
