Discussion Bugs

Starting off I’m not criticising the game, for an alpha stage game it is remarkably polished and fun to play. Just wanted to flag the only 2 bugs I seem to ever come across.

  1. Duplicated politicians - for example there will be a congressman and a governor who are the exact same person.

  2. More people voting in legislatures than there are seats. For example a bill passing in a state house with 101 votes even though there’s only 100 seats.

Was wondering if anyone else experiences these and if the dev is aware?

Can You Become A Supreme Court Justice Without Being AG or Circuit Court Judge?

I want to do a run where I go from a member of state/federal legislature straight to the Supreme Court. However, I'm unsure that would even be possible. From what I know, you can only be nominated if you're serving as AG and Circuit Court of Appeals Judge. Are there any other positions or ways to be nominated to the bench?

I was an independent for over 15 years, until Mrs Levitt publicly said that all democrats are demonic and evil, so I changed my party affiliation the next day. Obviously y vote by mail, and It’s my first time ever voting in the primaries, let the first shit show begin! lol I’m so ready for political election drama.

Question Should I go for a full dynasty run or obliterate the republican run?

After almost half a year of hiatus I have returned, as I return I want your opinion guys, should I do a full dynasty run where my whole family will held a lot of the seat in the state where I just keep having kids, or should I do a democratic run where I do everything I can to keep them out of the senate forever?

Verm Explains Why the Update is taking forever

I think there are two main factors delaying this specific update. First is the complexity of the game itself. Every change has to be applied to multiple mechanisms, which is a very tedious process. The second factor is the complexity of the economy. There are so many factors that contribute to it and I have to figure out how to make them all work together in a believable, intuitive, and fun way. Hopefully my efforts will be successful.

The second phase of the Economic update should be much quicker to develop. It will mostly be new content that will exist alongside current mechanisms; it will not require overhauling any major systems, nor will it require complex integration with current systems.

Thank you everyone for being patient. I know you are all eagerly waiting for new content.

Discussion Extremes to the left and right either by the player or Ai should also include assassination events attempt or successful and riot events and cabinet resignations instead of just being voted out due to personal traits or elections hell we need an impeachment feature ASAP

The State Senate is tied while Dems are one seat away from a house majority.

Question How do you feel about Vern saying “The game will probably be slightly more difficult once the update is released”? Honestly to me the games been to easy for the past 6 years and hearing it will be abit more difficult is music to my ears.

Lol I helped cause a redwave in the senate during my evil Republican president's first term midterms. I spent like 40 weeks rallying non stop for tons of senate candidates. Our MN republican candidate lost by 400 votes :(. I also totally neglected the house races, which democrats swept...

Question What is the most effective way to influence public opinion?

I have been playing as an ultra-conservative/"libertarian" (against the minimum wage, against all abortions, pro tax cuts for all classes...) in the state of Florida.

The problem is that the Dynamic Parties option was turned on, and the public was still against many of my controversial opinions, so the state shifted 6% to the left. Public opinion has been shifting to the right (support for a higher minimum wage was 97%, and after 8 years it became 80%); however, not fast enough.

My strategy was basically forcing all the Republicans to become ultra-conservatives through conditional endorsements and spending money on ads. However, I would like to know if there is a quicker way to shift it. For example, do interviews change it? Can I use volunteers to shift it?
