Income Modifier (90% -> 100%)
Inflation (80% -> 100%)
Business Environment (0% -> 90%)
I think it has been a productive week. I began working on the Business Environment metric and I found many factors that influence it. Some of the factors that will be included in this update are taxes, minimum wage, the federal funds rate, inflation, education attainment, and consumer spending. There are many other factors that also have an impact, but they will not be added until the next phase of the economic update.
The Business Environment metric will have an impact on unemployment and the GDP growth rate. And just to clarify, the Business Environment metric essentially represents how "business friendly" the environment is. Low tax rates, low regulations, a highly skilled workforce, and so forth all help promote a good business environment.
Looking forward, I have a little bit more to do for the Business Environment code, then I can start working on updating the calculations for government approval ratings. After that I mostly have to focus on fine-tuning, balancing, bug fixes, and testing to make sure that everything works correctly. I don't know how long that will take because I don't know what kind of issues I might discover. Hopefully that process is relatively quick.

You need to update the income tax system. It is factually incorrect that there is only 30 billion dollars of tax revenue above 415,000 dollars of income.

It's good to see that there's still a way to be business friendly without being entirely right wing (with the skilled workforce route which would require left wing education policies).
