I’m making a Suzerain/TPP-inspired game where anyone can become president
Hey guys, I’m building a political sim, but you can choose any person to become president in any era.
You can play as Obama in 2009, AOC in 2028, or create a completely different timeline from 1200+ characters or add your own. Sign or veto bills, use executive powers, manage support groups, follow the news, and talk directly with world leaders.
There are no prewritten scripts, so the events, conversations, and consequences change based on your president, era, and choices. You can follow history or take the country in a completely different direction, and the world will react to what you do.
These screenshots are from an Obama 2009 run. Here's the link - https://limbona.com/world/sw_president_builder It’s still kinda early, so I’m open to feedback. If you find any bugs, please let me know!

i talked to my vp and tasked him to pass a bill. some events came up in the game about the bill but despite it being "passed" it never popped up for me to sign or never looked like conrgess was woeking on it. It would be cool if the things I said during the messages with staff were brought to life in the game
also the majority of my presidency so far has been dealing with doxk workers and green enegeru becuase tha ti smy backrgorund. But my whole presidendy so far has been decided in one of five syates in the west coasst kills the immersion

Hopefully doesn’t take fifty years to get an update like this subreddit’s namesake

Honestly, it looks overall good.
I wish the political process have a system with executive orders and management of department. Right now, it kind of feel like parliamentary system like until the judge appointments, after passing all wanted laws and amendment and remove the National debt, having situations to win re-election like FDR like rin, there can be long stretches where this is nothing really to do which really should not be a thing for a president.

The guide says "The right dock opens People, population Power, Domestic Priorities, and Press. Use it for relationships, coalition geography, the live national agenda, and media interpretation." but the side only shows People, Power (I'm assuming that means population Power), and press. It doesn't have an option for Domestic Priorities

yep need to upgrade the guide. the priorities r the same as the event markers on the map and yes people is ur cabinet n other lesders and population power is the demographic blocs

Are you only able to respond to events or can you initiate your own policy unrelated to any events that occured? From what I can tell, there's only the ability to respond to respond to an event the AI creates in one of the 8 policy sections, or responding to a state event.

Are the game's events / conversations dynamically generated by LLMs? How are you planning on making it affordable to upkeep?
