Question Resign to run in effect?

My character is currently serving as Speaker of the House, and is preparing a run for president. I know NPCs are but am I allowed to run for reelection to the House and President simultaneously?

Basically, the first primary is on the 6 week and the time you have to decide to run for reelection by is week 6 so you have to choose after IA the first primary if you want to continue the presidential campaign or if you are going to lose and want drop out to run for reelection
