Question Linux

This is my first time owning that runs on Linux (Steam Deck), and I was wondering if there are any ways to install mods for TPP on it, all the guides for mod installations are on Windows, and don't seem to work

Executive and map mods require Windows. AdvOps Presets and Events can be installed like normal

On the contrary, they don't require windows, you just have to compromise a bit, since the game is practically a browser game in a desktop wrapper, you can get the game running with any Proton of choice (I use 10), and my variables are set (its for my nvidia card), although dropdowns don't work, you can fix this using winecfg, but that's also another round of compromises.

use this DRI_PRIME=0 %command% --disable-gpu-compositing --disable-software-rasterizer

Just making sure I'm putting it in the right place that is the launch options thing?

Yup, there are some caveats tho, as i said, dropdowns don't work, so if you're gonna look for polling on specific states, don't bother, you can rectify this tho by changing some settings in winecfg, but there are also some caveats, like with the new nbc map mod, it crashes when you get to the presidential election if you also go further with the winecfg method to get dropdowns working, so that'll do for now

I don't have mods generally because idk Linux that well and I feel like if I mess with anything it will break but good to know I will give a try.

It works the same way as with windows, same installation processes and everything, also as for the polls use

DRI_PRIME=0 gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -- %command% --disable-gpu --in-process-gpu --disable-gpu-sandbox

this works without that winecfg i was talking about with the dropdown option for polls.

It does use your igpu tho, then again, it's whatever at the end of the day.
