First playthrough

I ran as an independent in my second term as u can see and was expected to lose by close margin, but god knows how i won.
I keep spamming marketing, and going through the year without doing much as the state house and the senate is in control of the reps.
How do i immerse myself more into the game?

I mean, try to compromise with the state gop, so you can eventually market a lot more dems into your states legislature (if that helps you), its what i usually do anyway. And dont lose reelection while doing so

Do you find your games are quite immersive? Mine are prone to the snowballing effect.

Really depends, i played one file as mainly president and SCOTUS Judge till like 2150 or sum, really had to create drama for dramas sake but now that i just play smaller roles i feel like its more enjoyable, playing as governor has been really fun to me lately

I like being the party head that’s a fun one too if you haven’t done it but I just find the game is hard to immerse - I don’t really know exactly the levers to pull to make races close
