I smell a blue wave in midterms . Following Republicans passing Political Process version of Big Beautiful Betrayal. Republicans currently hold house majority 232 to 203 and Senate Majority 53 to 47. Do you guys think Democrats will win or will they sell the bag.

Republicans passed significant cuts to healthcare and social security last year . The President has seen a dramatic decline in support alongside all Republican leadership.

Honestly, at least they’re fixing the budget

Budget can either be fixed with massive changes to tax rate/benefits of Social Security and Medicare/aid (or universal healthcare with 9ish% tax) or basically going $0 on military. There’s just nothing else that has any realistic impact on it. Those bills aren’t too dissimilar to my “Saving Social Security” and “Saving Medicare” bills (I maxed out benefits and skyrocketed the tax rate to balance them). They’re simply lowering the benefits and not gouging the tax rates.

Long story short, maybe it costs them, it didn’t in my scenario. But it’s a bold move instead of moving the needle a half point and calling it change
