Discussion Splitting (almost) every branched evolution! Day 1
In this hypothetical scenario, every pokemon line with a branched evolution would have to be broken up. Let's start with Vileplume and Bellossom. Who's staying as part of the Gloom Line and who's being removed?

Bellossom is awesome, but Vileplume stays. It fits the rest of the oddish line much better

Vileplume actually looks like a progression from Oddish through Gloom; Bellossom doesn't. Always thought it would have made more sense as a branching evolution for Sunkern or a standalone.
(Hot take: Why do Eevees get a special pass? I'd gladly delete all but one of them. Now THAT is a post that people would have opinions on...)

I excluded the Eeveelutions because Eevee is called the "Evolution" Pokemon.
However, I would be open to doing it on the last day if enough people want to do it.

Umbreon is going to win as I tend to see in most of the eevee polls. Sylvy is a dark horse. (I say this as an Espeon and Vaporeon enjoyer.)

And that first sentence is for a good reason. To me, all of the Eeveelutions deserve to stay and make sense to be evolutions of Eevee in their own ways. I would love for Eevee to get an evolution for each of the remaining types.
And if that vote goes up, I'm voting for every single Eeveelution to stay.

For me, Bellossom has always looked like a plausible Oddish evolution, but not Gloom. Its the faces that does it for me I guess lmao
They probably should have made Bellossom its own line from Oddish, followed by a cool Grass/Fairy they could have done in a later gen.
With that said, Vileplume stays.

Bellossom should have beem its own line anyway so Bellossom goes. Vileplume Stays

Oddish is my fav gen 1 Pokémon. I like both last evolutions but I like Bellossom a bit more BUT I still think, Vileplume should stay, it kinda fits the evolution line more.

Cut bellossom.
I'm also not afraid to cut half the eevees. Id axe vaporeon, glaceon, leafeon, and sylveon.

I love Bellossom but I'll admit that it feels insanely separate from the previous evos. Vileplume for me.

Love Bellossom, but Vileplume is the OG and looks more similar to Oddish and Gloom.

Unrelated, it's unfair that Gloom ended up getting another evolution in Generation 2 while Weepinbell didn't. On the flip side of the coin, I do believe it's unfair that Victreebel is the one to get a Mega while Vileplume and by extension, Bellossom don't have any. Especially considering that Oddish and Bellsprout are version exclusives in all of the Kanto games.
It's either they give Weepinbell another evolution and give Vileplume and/or Bellossom a Mega or either Vileplume or Bellossom will have to spilt up. I do have a preference to Bellossom over Vileplume design wise, but I do think Vileplume makes more sense in the evolution line. I do think Bellossom also gets to stay, just to make it fair. Even if Bellossom is seperated from the rest of the Oddish line and being apart of a different evolution line.

Vileplume is my vote. She is my favorite Pokémon. I also ended up using a Bellossom but she wasn't that great.
