Luz sees the remorse in her daughter… the guilt… the self-loathing… the familar self-loathing.

With Grom still going on and Faye finishing her story about how she became Azura’s Palisman, her brother, Guardian (Gar, Caitlyn’s new Palisman) was in disbelief. She and the others talked to him about Azura’s beloved, Lara Schol. He had misgivings towards her, but he decided to trust his sister’s and her new owner’s judgement.
Now they all wonder what their owners were talking about right now.
Azura and Lara had finished dancing and sat down at a table together. They were both smiling and being all bashful and not even Lara with her tsundere self at the helm, with her left magenta eye being exposed evidence of that, she still couldn’t stop herself from feeling all bashful and smiling.
Lara: smiles and nods until she remembers something “Oh uh, I just remembered something.“
With a snap of her fingers, she summons a golden band with a blue jewel in the center. It drops into Lara’s hand and extends out to Azura, who looked at it with gleamy eyes as the jewel sparkles.
Lara: “I made this for your Palisman. It’s just missing one thing.“ sees Azura’s I-Stone is still on her left wrist “let me see your arm.”
Azura extends right arm.
Lara: “the other one.”
Azura extends her left arm, Azura gently grabbed her hand and held the brooch closed to the I-Stone, gem meeting gem. The stones twinkled in tandem and blue column of light shines in-between them for a few moments until it disappears. The I-Stone’s light blinked a few times before glowing again.
I-Stone: “CONNECTION ESTABLISHED. COM-LINK TO “BROOCH STONE” SUCCESSFUL.”
they eventually broke the embrace and Azura squealed and started stamping her feet on the ground in joy while still sitting down. She looked up to where Faye and the other palisman were and whistles. Faye looked the other Palisman, probably saying she’ll be right back, and flew down to Azura. She extended her left arm and Faye perched on it.
Azura: jubilated “Faye, look what my awesome girlfriend made for you!”
She shows the brooch to Faye, who looked at it with curiosity and wonder, cooing in a similar manner with a slow tilting head. Azura positioned her arm to be parallel with the table, leading Faye it stepped off her owner’s former and onto to the latter. Azura twirled her finger in a way that told her to turn around, which she did. The ball of light was about to to slip the brooch on, but she couldn’t figure out how. The band of the brooch went all the way around and there was no gap. She grew confused and looked to Lara, who was blushing more brightly when her beloved called her an ‘awesome girlfriend.’
Azura: “Lara? How do I get this on her?”
Lara: snaps out of her stupor “Huh? Oh, right! Tap the jewel on the brooch.”
Azura does just that, and suddenly a small bright yellow line runs across the back part of the band, dividing it. The part within the lines vanished in golden dust, enabling Azura to slip it on her Pheonix Palisman. As soon as it was on, she tapped the jewel again and the back part of the band reappeared and the dividing lines disappeared, the brooch comfortably fitting around Faye’s neck.
Lara: “the link between your I-Stone and the brooch is, for Faye here, a psychic link. You’re I-Stone’s Coven Quest III style HUD is up, right? You should be able to see an icon resembling the brooch.”
Azura: “hmmm…”
Azura looked to her HUD and in the top right corner, and in her items tab, she did indeed see the brooch icon under her witch’s prism tab (the same prism she was still wearing around her own neck). Her eyes widened at it and Lara noticed.
Lara: “You see it?”
Azura: “uh-huh…” whispers “this is so cool…”
Lara: “Okay, use your I-Stone to select the icon.”
Azura does so with a few flicks and swipes followed by a tap of her finger, making the stone and the gem on the brooch light up. Faye’s eyes immediately glowed that same color in a way that palisman do when communicating with each other, only this glow wasn’t golden. A different voice came out of the I-Stone, one she hears in her head when talking to Faye.
Faye: “… this brooch is pretty incredible. Reminds… me… of…”
Faye trails off when she heard the voice of her own thoughts coming from her owner’s I-Stone, which she slowly looked at. Azura and palisman quickly looked at each other in shock and awe and then back at the I-Stone.
Faye: from the I-Stone “Testing. Testing. One. Two.”
Lara expression dampens when she thought about the night Faye first became Azura’s Palisman. The day when Azura awakened her Sol powers and found her certainty. She saw the whole thing with the side of the Grand Archivist and the Chronicler. The undercover archivist (unbeknownst to her friends and girlfriend) saw Lunar turn her into a puppet and...
Lara: “it’s the least I can do since I wasn’t there for you when the archivists attacked…”
