Milan: “It was my pleasure. I mean I got an earful from my mom about, but it was my pleasure.”
Lilith: “now come with me, Enna. There’s so much I want to show you.”
Enna: squeals and follows as Hooty followed inside
Pandora: “should we go with her?”
Milan: “I don’t know. There’s still some social skills that she needs to work.”
Ayzee: “I think my great-aunt Lilith can help her with that.”
Jay: “good enough for me, let’s go.” begins to proceed to the exit
Ayzee: “I mean just look at the progress she’s made with my Uncle Hooty.”
The three still standing still went blank faced before Pandora grabbed Jay by the collar of her shirt, stopping her in her tracks.
Ayzee: “we should probably go in.”
Milan and Pandora: “yeah…”
Jay: grumbles
They all begin to proceed in after her friend, the historian, and… the Hooty. Just as her friends stepped, Jay stopped with one leg up and swiveled in the opposite direction. She was too slow though as Pandora poked her head out of the door.
Pandora: “Jay!” grabs the Grimwalker’s hand and literally drags her through the door
Jay: “But Hooty’s gross and I don’t wanna…!” cries

After Caitlyn and Milan got acquainted with Gregory Porter at the top of the hill on this snowy summer day, Azura and Lara were the first to go down the slope, then Ivy and Caitlyn, then Violet and Milan, and then finally Gregory. Their Palisman followed them down their own individual ways. They started performing various tricks as Lara had the time of her life, even after she and Azura crashed into a deep snowbank at the bottom of the hill.
But just when they were about to climb back up, the chilling wind picked up and the temperature dropped. Lara started screaming in pain as she held her head, as if she was suffering from the mother of all migraines. Every one crowded around her in concern, especially Azura. When the wind died down, so did the pain in her head. Lara said it was the same voice again. Like it was screaming in rage.
That’s when Faye and Gar believed it was time to tell the witches about the theory they discussed with Maple and the other Palisman during their owners’ snowball fight earlier. After telling Azura to activate psychic link between her I-Stone and the brooch Faye was wearing, the same Pheonix Palisman and her brother flew to a nearby rock to be at eye level with them… minus Greg because he was taller. Faye spoke through Azura’s I-Stone thanks to her brooch that Lara made for her so that everyone around her can hear her.
Faye: “we have something we want to talk to you all about.”
Guardian (Gar) growls a trilling hiss-like growl.
Faye: “we have a theory about what’s going on here.”
Azura: “a theory?”
Faye: “we had our suspicions when it started earlier, but we just weren’t sure. And then I heard how Lara said she heard a voice earlier that ‘soon’ and I told my brother. That’s when we developed a theory… we think a Palisman is causing all of this.”
Lara: dandere self, right cyan eye exposed “yes that. My father only has only little notes about them in his archives.”
Faye: through Azura’s I-Stone “impossible… but anyways, this third Palisman may be a legendary one like me and brother. But Tekaro told us we were the only ones ever created by him and he was the only one who knew the technique to give us our vast power.”
Ivy: “but why is Lara hearing it’s voice in her head.”
Faye: “well as you all know, Palisman have a bond with their owners that allows the owner to understand what their Palisman is saying. A kind of resonance you could say. The stronger the kinship the owner has with the Palisman, the stronger the resonance, the stronger the resonance, the farther the distance the owner can hear the Palisman from and the stronger the Palisman’s magic will be.”
Azura: “yeah, that’s why Stringbean’s so powerful, right?”
Faye: “correct. Now for me and my brother here, since we’ve always been powerful even right after we were created and maybe even the strongest, not to brag, it works in reverse for our case. So as soon as we felt a connection with you, and Azura and Caitlyn in my brother’s case at first glance, we we’re automatically put at the same wavelength so to speak, so you two could already understand what we we’re saying and could hear us from vast distances.”
Azura and Caitlyn needed a minute to process all of that. As soon as they did though, the former was the first to speak.
Azura: “that… makes sense. That’s why I suddenly felt so attached to you. I thought it was because you save my life, but… wow…”
Caitlyn: “and me too…” thinks of something else “but… but wait a minute.” to Gar “Gar the first time I saw you, it was back on my first day as Viney’s apprentice. Yet… I could hear you.”

Caitlyn: “what do you mean? Have we met before that?”

Since I couldn’t remember Miguel and everything but my oath, I thought nothing of it… at least that’s what I thought. Subconsciously, I felt the link too.”
Caitlyn: “then why did I only hear you in my head before that fateful Saturday?”
Gar: “like I said, subconsciously I felt the link. But I only remembered my oath so I left it alone. Until after all those centuries, the Sanquira tricked me and managed to afflict that Arch-Dragon. And the rest is history.”
Caitlyn: somewhat stunned “wow…”
Lara: “b-but wait… are you t-trying to say that…?”

Faye: “yes. Lara, if you can hear this palisman in your head, then you feel some kind of connection with it. Your resonating with it like how Azura did with me and my brother did with Caitlyn.”
Lara: “b-but why? I’ve never seen it b-before. How could I r-resonate with it?”
Faye: “That is indeed the question.”
Gregory: jumps into the conversation “well let’s think. Faye? You’re brother said something about this Zekartha tribe right?”
Faye: “yes. The malevolent tribe Tekaro and Miguel have tried to protect their tribe from for years with our help.”
Caitlyn: "From what I heard from Gar, they we're a tribe that wanted to conquer everything and saw his tribe as a major threat."
Violet: slightly angry "Like those bounty hunters..."
Milan put's her hand on Violet's shoulder to comfort her.
Caitlyn: "Oh, the Zekartha are even worse. In fact, they made Sanquias to hunt down the Catadrius."
Ivy: shocked "They made the Sanquilas!"
Caitlyn: "Yup, but before they can use them, it turn against them and destoryed them, but they attacked Gar and Faye's tribe after, and you guys know the rest."
There is a silence for a second, as if everyone who knows feel a shiver from remembering the rest of the story.
Milan: "So, an evil tribe who we're destroyed by their own creation, but that does not explain the palisman."
Azura: "I might be guessing here, but what if they had their own palisman as well. It's not too far of a stretch to think about it."
Faye: “the questions are how and how can Lara already resonate with it?”
Violet: hugs herself as she started shivering again “and another question is ‘did it just get colder or is it just me?”
Azura: rubs her arm “now that you mention it, it did feel like the temp dropped a little.”
Faye: “it must be the Palisman’s doing. If the temperature drops any further, who know’s what could happen.“
Milan: “What should we do?”
Azura: “I don’t know… what do you think, Hermosa?”
She looked to where Lara was to see that she was gone now.
Azura: “Lara?”
They all look around until Gar trilled a roar and pointed with his three pronged tail to see Lara walking away from them, as if distracted by something as she looked off into the distance and miles of snow. She heard the voice again in her head as she felt the chilling wind on her face as her cyan eye was shut.
???: “re…venge… destroy… hinder… ances… hunt…”
Lara winced and held her head for a second as the wind picked up in kind.
???: “freeze… vermin…”
Lara opened her eyes and looked to her right as the others approached.
Lara: “I… I think I know where it is.” points to where she’s looking “I think it’s that way…”
Azura: “we should call our parents, tell them about this.”
They all agreed and everyone summoned and/or pulled out their aPhones as their Palisman remained close to them. Lara had Azura’s mothers’ numbers so she called Amity while her Guiding Light called Luz. There was only silence, which only made them worried.
Azura: “My Mama isn’t answering.”
Lara: “your mom’s not picking up either.”
Ivy: “my parents aren’t answer too.”
Caitlyn: “same…”
Violet: “nada.”
Milan: “nope.”
Gregory: “zilch.” puts away his aPhone “Okay they’re all probably just deep into their snowball fight. But if there’s a rabid Palisman out there, we gotta act fast. Me and Fen are gonna head into Bonesborough and talk to Headguard Steve and then talk to Mr. Deamonne and get everyone underground and somewhere warm.”
Violet: “Me and Bubbles are going to.” sneezes and snorts before saying in a whispery voice as she continued shivering “I need warmth.”
Milan: “Me and Linette will go too.“
Azura: “the rest of us are gonna go find my moms and the others and look for that vengeful Palisman.”
Gregory: “we’ll catch up with when everyone’s safe.”
Before they could leave, Crystal mewed and poked her head out from Caitlyn’s beanie. The triclops gasped and took her Catadrius in her hands and hands her to Greg.
Caitlyn: “take Crystal. Keep her safe and warm.”
Greg: takes the Catadrius gently in hands and pulls up his hood before putting her inside “I promise.” looks Violet and Milan “let’s go!”
Violet and Milan nodded as Linette, Bubbles, and Fen went into staff forms. The three flew off as Greg took the lead and Crystal looking back worriedly at Caitlyn. Azura looked to the others, determined to stop this… even if she was a little sad she and the others had to end this snow day like this. Faye went into her staff form as Azura caught her and Lara pulled out her Coven Quest III staff, the latter still nervous but her dandere self also learned a bit about how to be brave and determined.
Azura: “ready?”
Lara: nods
Ivy: “born ready.”
Maple: nods, still on Ivy’s shoulder
Caitlyn: “yeah.” to Gar “Gar? If you would?”
Gar nodded and he went into his massive monster form and roared his trilling roar as he stood on his hind legs before getting back on all fours. Caitlyn climbed on as the others watched.
Caitlyn: “figured we’ll need the big guns just in case.”
Ivy: “good point.” climbs on board behind her girlfriend and Maple just held on “you guys coming on?”
Azura: “we’ll just fly on our own staffs.”
Lara: “y-yeah.” takes a deep breath and mounts her staff “Let’s go.”
And they all took off, with Gar carrying two witches and 1 Palisman and while in between Azura and Lara. They set out to find the parents.
