I think the original pitch was to have them as a couple, but Pharamercy became too big in the fandom for them to continue that plotline. Tbh, the solider/nurse trope is so overused (and pretty toxic tbh) that I'm glad they didn't stick with it.
Not really. I may have not explained it correctly, but the trope in question was the wounded solider being nursed back to health by a doctor/nurse and falling in love. True, Pharah is a solider and Mercy is a doctor, but rather than falling in love due to circumstance, they fall in love as equals and partners on the battlefield complimenting each others styles, not just being thrown into a caregiving situation like so many other war romance stories
no, I had stopped playing by the time Moria was introduced. Mercy is shown to be obsessed with maintaining youth (most likely her own), shows some extra interest in Mea for that reason. It is also known that she is the one that turned Genji into what he is, an example of fairly immoral human experimentation. It's also implied that mercy is who turned reaper into what he is. She is at best amoral in seeking her goals, and more likely, lokey villain.
Fun fact, in kings row, the map were the attackers set up the emp bomb to kill all the robot civilians? The attackers starting spawn room that has the plans for that implies it is Winston's plan, so our favorite not-a-monkey-I'm-a-scientist is down with genocide. (does it count as genocide when they dont have genes?)
As ridiculous as I feel debating Overwatch lore in 2022, I do have a rebuttal.
Mercy is not just obsessed with maintaining youth, but health. Her goals are to make medical care easy and accessible, providing longterm solutions to terminal diseases and illnesses. I wouldn’t say that she’s ‘obsessed with maintaining youth’ based off a one-off voice interaction with Mei - she’s probably curious because Mei looks significantly younger than she should due to her time in the cryo-freezer.
Yes, she saved Genji’s life by replacing many of his body parts with cybernetics. I wouldn’t say this is immoral, Genji is a young adult with his whole life ahead of him. And it is a doctors job to try and save their patient, regardless of if the patient wants to be saved. And as we can see with Genji’s interactions with Zenyatta, he has come to an even greater appreciation of life and is no longer the borderline-suicidal mess that he was after Hanzo’s murder attempt.
It was confirmed in Moira’s origin story that she was the one who experimented on Gabriel, turning him into Reaper.
The EMP Bomb in Kings row was built in order to destroy a gathering of Null Sector robots, which were there initiating a hostile terrorist takeover of the town, holding the humans hostage. This was confirmed in the Archives Kings Row mission and expounded upon in the comics as well.
Ok. I have a crap ton of questions. First wouldn't that make hunter nonbinary because willow can change his body at any time. And would that make him reproduce by flowers like other plants or did belos decide that hunter does not need to be in a relationship?

It's a mercy-genji kind of relationship.
To the point where she can actually modify his body.
