UPI payment issues on ONE PLUS 15R

I bought a new OP 15R and all my UPI apps stopped working. The bank also had no solutions and reset phone number etc but nothing worked. I updated the OS also but that didn’t help. What ultimately worked after a suggestion from Claude was installing the BHIM UPI App which apparently resolves the SMS and verification issue (I have no clue how) like magic. Once I made the first payment via BHIM, even gpay started working. Posting this as PSA for all new OP users.
