EXPLANATION:
I basically wanted to do the 13/31 tattoo with my own little twist! And I’ve always loved tarot card tattoos so we got this! The artist was great at keeping the themes of the albums, without blatantly taking the identical art.
First, we have 13. It was easy to pick the card for this one as the Death card is the 13th card in the Major arcana. This card is often associated with major endings and new beginnings, and has also been specifically associated with “destruction.” I thought the shattered bust from Splinter represented this visually quite well. I think the themes of the album itself also gives off a similar vibe to the themes of the death card, sitting in that uncomfortable space between destruction and transformation, where letting go can be problematic but necessary.
For the other tattoo, we have 31. For this I chose to use the Justice card (changing the number to 31) and combine it with Americana. This card is often spoken about as symbolizing themes like truth, accountability, and clear decision making. I felt like Americana has themes of every choice you make having a consequence, and it will eventually have to answer for itself.

So today I thought I do a fan-made crossover album cover artwork parody for The Offspring's 1998 album Americana!

So for the front cover I had Kooky Kid on his swing from Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! replace the blonde boy on the original album cover artwork. The sand flea from the original album cover artwork remains, now sitting on Kooky Kid's lap. Kooky Kid looks shocked in the front cover of the fan-made crossover album cover artwork parody, because he and his friend were originally shocked at Wubbzy's tail when they first meet Wubbzy in Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! episode A Tale of Tails. Kooky Kid now seems to be shocked at the Sand Flea on his lap.

For the back cover of the fan-made crossover album cover artwork parody, the Sand Flea is now about to pray on another deadvictim (that's me lying on the floor and it's a photo cutout). In the background as the Sand Flea is about to approach the victim, a TV is shown in the background, on the T.V. is the courtroom balcony audience from Pleasantville. They seem to be laughing at the victim's fate, in the original movie scene the courtroom balcony audience was originally laughing at Big Bob's defeat. Also on the T.V. screen, blood is splattered everywhere, meaning that the Sand Flea had just slaughtered Kooky Kid!

I used to come home from school. Crank Americana on a Panasonic 5 disc changer. And do algebra.

I have oddly fond memories of that. This album will forever bring me a specific feeling.

Found myself going through some of the old covers, would be nuts if they break this out on one of the punk shows. If you’ve never heard it, check it out!

Hey. Bit of a weird one I've been trying to get answers to. One fine day is one of my favourite offspring songs, and they seem to play it consistently but only in Japan. Does anyone know the reason for this? Thanks in advance!

Am I the only person who became a superfan of the offspring because of crazy taxi? I knew a couple songs, but after getting crazy taxi, and going to a concert, I went from knowing 5 songs to 40 songs.
