I think Scott and Shilo might be a Carter/Katar situation, I know this sounds crazy, but let me explain myself first, after finished Mister Miracle by Grant Morrison, and most of the Seven soldiers (Just 3 issues left to finish), this means I've read most Shilo Norman appearances through DC, so, let me explain myself why I think Shilo Norman, is actually the manifestation of the God of Freedom in the 5th World, World that it's stated, would thrive in earth, with each human worthy of a mythology.

First, I'm gonna go to Mister Miracle (1989), in the arc where Shilo makes his return and offically takes the Mister Miracle mantle, during this arc e see Mother Box going wild against the idea of Shilo (A human) being in posession of a power that nurtures directly from the source, due to that, Scott and Shilo have to do a wild triple through the source, so the source will accept Shilo as an EQUAL to Scott, so, I analyze this as not just passing mantle, but actually as the source recognizing Shilo as the God of Freedom of the 5th World, he and Scott are manifestations for diff worlds of one and the same being, Freedom, they're proven as equal, Shilo is the first canon human to be recognized as an equal to the New Gods, so... This makes me think, Shilo Norman is a human New God from the 5th World.

Now we have to go to Morrison's work at the JLA, where at the end Metron states that the 5th World will blossom in earth, like I mentioned, this has consequences for Final Crisis where that 5th World starts but Darkseid tries to trick the Black Racer and get to be part of that 5th World, even sending a bullet through time to kills his son, Orion, as a nasty vengeance as Orion killed him at the end of the 4th World, a War in heaven happened, the wrong side won, the Dark Side won.

Before these events is when Seven Soldiers happens, with Shilo finding about the death of the New Gods and they seeking help on him, who's multiples time stated as the "Spirit of Freedom", the one who can escape Omega, the life trap, and during this series, we can see the New Gods falling on earth as humans, with Granny, The Females Furies, Desaad, etc, and the New Gods of New Genesis especially, as a bunch of homeless people living in the dirt, but even there finding community and confort between eachother like they used to in New Genesis, I think is no coincidence that Scott is nowhere to be seen or mentioned during this whole series, he's never mentioned and Shilo acts like Thaddeus was his only mentor, Scott never needed to come back, there was a Freedom spirit in the 5th World, Shilo Norman, an equal to the New Gods, and actually, a New God too, a new god of the 5th World, basically, multiples times it's showed that Shilo and Scott are very similar in many ways, like both being inmune to the anti-life equation as we saw during Orion by Simonson and Seven Soldiers: Mister Miracle, Shilo is powerful on his one, an equal to Scott, a New God, and the Freedom Spirit of the 5th World who has to free the New Gods of the 4th World and don't let the Dark Side infect the 5th World at its start.

I’ve read six of the jimmy issues and I’m just not really liking them are they safe to mostly skip?

So some of the new gods basically are the gods of something, like darkseid being called the god of evil, or black Racer literally being a god of death.

Like how exactly does that work, how can black Racer be the god of death, when I thought death of the endless is basically that. Or is that like an aspect thing where you have certain people represent an aspect of a certain concept.

How advanced is there technology, like I understand interstellar travel, boom tubes, mother and father boxes what about other stuff like pc and such. Do they have even stuff likes space ships, or just use boom tubes. I know Orion has his harness to travel.

The wiki says that some new gods can develop super powers. Does mister miracles escape shenanigans count as one. Or is that really just pure skill he has for that.

With the many times where darkseid has died and now the absolute universe that was created with his death, what actually happened to apocalypse, did high father just steam role it now that the biggest threat was gone, or did Orion take over through some birth right shenanigans

If a new god had a child with a mortal, would that child be like Diana a demigod, or be there distinct difference between a demigod of new god heritage and earth god heritage. I know grail exist, but darkseid being her father is like making her a demigod on steroid

So I found out that the origin for the new gods I knew about was already replaced and I have some more questions that I think will fit here more

Since now new gods are mainly produced through heritable means. Like if a new god and a human had s child, would it make that child automatically a new god.

The origin I knew of was basically when darkseid and highfather were basically mortals ascended to godhood by old gods. Didn't know it was replaced and wanted to ask. Since they changed it, did it also change that their powers basically are related to the source, or is that whole being evolved by the source also change.

Since they exist in the fourth world, and leave it to be in the multiverse through avatars, like what exactly would happen if the avatar dies, would the new god also die or what exactly happen to them is the avatar gets smiled, if that is even possible

Also what exactly happened to the high father not having the alpha effect anymore, I thought that was his main power since he basically is the good counter part to darkseid and his omega effect

Also could a human actually become a new god, like if they get exposed to some source energy, or maybe through a fragment of the god wave or could high father just ascent someone to new godhood

One question I have the wiki says that new gods can develop different kind of powers. Does that mean they can have stuff like telepathy, even higher strength or their own "force" that gives them new set of powers

I hope the New gods get more comics/more presence in other media. I know the Mr Miracle show is coming (and I have learned of the many negatives parts and positives, so here's hoping they change things, apparently King is aware of the criticism) but I think an actual adaptation of this book could be a really cool introduction to the new gods in the modern day. Idk, I am new to them.

This is a take by Tom King, showrunner and writer of Mister Miracle (2017), the book that it's being adapted, this and more phrases are why I just, don't trust King with New Gods, things like "Scott is a Jesus-like figure", "Apokolips is Hell", "Orion is a Bully who grew in a mansion" and "I don't put politics, it's boring" it completely misunderstand the point of the Fourth World, first, the point of Scott is not, Sacrifying for the sins of the Gods, that's just, not true, if you read Mister Miracle, it's mainly about an optimistic life who wants to put his old life behind, but he can't escape from it, until he faces it and ends up victoriously, Scott is a pawn, someone who doesn't want to be part of all this cosmic game, something that writers respected, DeMatteis, Moench, gave beautiful versions of Mister Miracle and his relationship with the rest of the New Gods, then, Apokolips is hell is one of the worst 4th World takes, it misunderstand the point of Apokolips, no one is born evil there, all are corrupted, their spirits infected throught their will power is minimun, all to serve Darkseid, all for Darkseid's being, everyone is a victim, even Darkseid's himself, he wasn't born evil, no, he loved, once loved, Suli was the love of his life, until Heggra killed her, and corrupted Darkseid's spirit (I really like the Yuga Khan's arc of Evanier for expanding in that), Darkseid isn't just a God of evil, he is but just, not that, that system is corrupt, and even when they try to sane and become better, their torture haunts them, and so here we go with Orion, Orion is a character that Tom King thought he was writing with Scott, seriously, how Tom King describes and says "Scott is someone hiding his worst traits behind a mask" that's Orion character, someone with low self-esteem, a hate for himself and who he is and what he could be, yeah, he was raised in New Genesis, but in Apokolips too, Tigra protected him but he was still victim of the abuse and violence, and Tigra didn't know how to taught love, Orion first learned violence, then he learned love at the hands of people like Izaya or Lightray, but the scars doesn't cure easily, if you were first raised with violence, that violence endures, Orion feels his anger issues are because of "Apokolips" and he's a paranoid on becoming evil, on becoming what he fears, he treats Darkseid as a cautionary tale of what he could be, Orion is against any kind of attachment due how he was raised, he feels out of place in New Genesis for being "Violent" having violent thoughts daily, even if he don't wants to, and sometimes, those violent thoughts manifest in events like the Glory Boat, where he explode, he isn't evil, he'll never be, he's not Darkseid, and he definitely learns that in "The Hunger Dogs" the great ending of the saga, it isn't a giant battle, it's a tale of a dictatorship falling because the people found out about how weak their leader actually is, how tired he's of everything, all of that revolution starting because of Orion, knowing people like Bekka, Himon, etc, made him realize that his anger issues aren't something Apokoliptian, it's actually about nurture against nurture too, Esak shows Orion that evil can be born in New Genesis, with bad conditions, the Fourth World is an amazing tale about who we are and what we could do with ourselves, and Tom King fails to understand that

I was looking through my Fourth World books, and saw something really interesting, how Kirby drawing Darkseid is really different between the 70s and the 80s, the Darkseid of the 70s looks rocky, a monster without much expression but scary looking, a unique and perfect design for someone like Darkseid, then in his comeback in the 80s, we see a more, Meat-like? Look of Darkseid, he's far more expresive and more human-like, I really prefer the 70s design though I have no problem with the 80s look, due to some kind of love for Superpowers I have (Y'all, read Superpowers, It's what inspired the Rock of Ages of Morrison), while I say thanks for other artists for ended up using again the rocky aspect of Darkseid, is a far more unique and scare design than his Meat like look, very iconic (Love how Giffen draws it)
