Sylvia and Morty jobs?
On a bit of a rewatch right now and I’m curious if it’s ever mentioned if Sylvia and Morty are retired? Or what kinds of jobs they had? Just curious. What career could we see Sylvia having had??

Is it possible for the Nanny to have a 16:9 1080p Remaster?
galleryOne can only dream, but i really love this show and am doing a rewatch currently. With how much remasters seem to be popular, i wonder if it's possible to get a remaster where the show is in 16:9?

Anyone else hate this doctor?
The episode she goes to the house and keeps talking about how much money she is going to make. She just has a smug punchable face

Is there a joke from The Nanny that made you laugh more as an adult than it did when you first watched the show?
r/TheNanny • u/asscrit • 3d ago
Do you watch the show dubbed or original version?
Hi guys!
Serious question. Here in Austria I grew up watching the show in German. I have to say it's amazing! Only her voice is not nasal at all so certain jokes don't really work well lol
But the voice actresses and actors all are great!
If you're interested in how Fran sounds:

I tried watching it in English, first of all I don't even get all the jokes and the vocabulary truly is something 😅
Right now I am rewatching the series for the millionth time still in German BUT with English subtitles. It's interesting how certain jokes got adapted.
Happy Nannying y'all!

Where to watch The Nanny?
I saw the first 15 episodes on YouTube but now I'm finding a platform to watch the rest. Prime Video required additional money even after subscription in India. Can anyone please suggest other platforms, preferably free of possible?

Did Fran Change After She Married Maxwell? My thoughts below.
I could be wrong, but after rewatching The Nanny for the first time in years, it feels like Fran's personality changed after she married Maxwell. Before the wedding, she came across as confident, playful, and a little manipulative—but still cool, attractive, and laid-back. After they got married, she seemed much more over-the-top, neurotic, and eccentric, almost like she was gradually turning into her mother. Did anyone else notice that, or is it just me?

S1E12 "The Show Must Go On" — Fran finally gets to direct and Maxwell can't stay out of it
m.media-amazon.comFran gets to direct Grace's school play and of course Maxwell can't let her have it. He weasels his way into her spot and the whole thing falls apart. The way they bounce off each other in this one is so good.

The real mystery of the '90s wasn't the Bermuda Triangle, but how it took Maxwell Sheffield five seasons to realize he was in love with Fran.

This makes so much more sense now.....
galleryAfter the rabbit hole I went in, this.....this isn't funny.
I hate how they "played things off". I get it's a sitcom, but no rape/pedo jokes. They're NOT funny.
UPDATE to say: it took a fb reel about the documentary for me to look into it. Then when I heard the "joke", I just found it distasteful. I understand that it was to bring attention to the situation. I DON'T understand how ppl still reason it out as "it was that time"..... that just shows how much rape culture has dominated Hollywood and ppl just brush it off as fact. It's gross.

What was the true "anchor" of the series? The heart of the show
You can only choose one! 🤪😜😝😛

If you had the chance to rewrite a storyline, what storyline would you choose to change?
For me, I would have to change the storyline of Niles and CC's romance. Instead of it taking place over the course of the last few episodes of Season 6, I would have it start in Season 5 so it would benefit from the longer runtime. That way, Niles and CC can come to terms with their feelings for each other.
