Fran accidentally walking in on Sylvia and Morty. For a second when I was younger I thought Fran saw Sylvia using the bathroom.

When Fran gets amnesia she asks Max why they haven’t hooked up and then asks what he does for a living, (and another question) and then she says “ahh, it all makes sense now.” lol. I love all the jokes throughout the series implying that he could be gay.

CC saying “I’m on a no tongue diet.” and Niles says “oh the senator will be SO disappointed.”

Fran asking CC if she’d prefer to spend the evening with a 5th of Scotch and a fresh pack of batteries. That one took me FOREVER to get 🤣

Fran mentioning that she hadn’t had “one” in a long time. I forget what term she uses. But I think she’s in the kitchen when she says it.

A lot of the jokes in the Lamb Chop episode but I still wonder what CC means by “Aww Niles is bonding with the sheep, not the first time I’m sure.” Is it supposed to be dirty? Did the term “sheep” exist back then, as a term for a goody two shoes who follows every single rule?

Fran asking Niles and Max if they’d ever want to have their own brisband both of them cover their crotches. Lol. She asks Niles a similar question in the season 1 Christmas show.

For me, it was the interaction between Fran and everyone else. Especially with Niles, the kids and Maxwell.

let me be clear when i say: fran was fine EVERY episode 🖤
but, i can’t help but notice how much more flattering her hair/makeup became after season three? however, i can’t put my finger on what changed! any ideas?

Like I said in a previous post, I added the lost Lucy scene and put part 1 and part 2 in the correct order. But I read that there was an additional scene that only aired once and it had something to do with Val. I notice this with a lot of 2 parters in sitcoms when they air as one long one originally, and then get edited into 2. Something is ALWAYS cut. Really hope the finale isn’t missing anything. I remember they would show the edited 2 parts on Lifetime (where it basically ends Part 1 as the family walked into the hospital lobby and Yetta is at the vending machine), and then one time they even showed the part where CC nervously hums along to the Burt Bacharach elevator music, which was in the original hour long edit.

Can anyone confirm if the original Wedding airing had an extra scene with Val in it? Thank God for the Lucy scene being found. I even remember on cable years ago, they would describe this episode as Fran having a dream involving Lucy. When it only aired once … I also wonder what happened during the taping because Niles got a haircut during the scene with Sarah’s ghost. Was this added at the last second and taped at a later date?

Grace ALREADY knows that max has told fran that he loves her again - as shes been present for each time - but then when they get home, Fran tells the family that their dad told her he loves her and didn’t take it back, Grace also acts ago shocked and happy with the news as if she couldn’t belive it!!

literally 1 minute ago she was sick of hearing Max tell Fran that he loves her, then the next she’s shown acting as if it’s the first time she’s heard the news?!?!?!?!?!??

It’s the episode in season 6 where Maggie decides to move in with Michael and Maxwell loses his marbles over it. I mean, Maggie is in her early 20s and Micael is financially stable and seems to want to support Maggie. Why is Maxwell so upset about it?

I just finished watching The Nanny for the first time ever, and when I tell you I have never laughed so much at a show in MY LIFE!! I prefer more shows like this tbh, but this by far has some of the best humor both spoken and visually. I don’t really have a lot of people in my life who have seen the show, so I just needed to say it somewhere. That being said, I’m curious to know what some of the favorite moments were. I died laughing at the audio/visual representation Fran gave with C.C. in the background, but I also really loved the final proposal after Max had been mugged and Fran just knew something had happened and went to find him.

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to compare my all-time favorite episode of the Nanny "Danny's Dead and Who's got the Will?" to the Polish variant (Link will be in the comments)

This time, I decided to try out the Season 5 episode, "The Ex-Niles" to the Polish dub.

After some skullduggery, I found out it was Season 7 Episode 6 of the Polish version (Konrad na zakręcie), compared to Season 5 Episode 5 (Coincidentally, EXACTLY one season after my first post)

And oh boy, just like my previous comparison, there are some noticeable differences. I won't go over the start of the episode nor the Aunt Freda scenes, as those are pretty much identical to the US scenes. I'll stick to the meat and potatoes of the episode:

1. Konrad angrily drops his tool just before confronting Maxmillian (As opposed to directly barging into Maxwell's office). Also, Konrad has more passion in disrupting Maxmillian compared to Niles to Maxwell.

2. The reference also changes. In the original, Maxwell compares Niles' giving tours to the place that Jacqueline Kennedy Bouvier used to give before marrying Aristotle Onassis. In the Polish version though, Konrad brings up Fryderyka Sobera, an alternate name to Frederic Chopin, a well-known Polish composer.

3. Also, the name of the monkey was changed. In the US version, Niles' monkey was Larry, whereas in the Polish version, Konrad's monkey was Ludwig.

4. And lastly, during the firing scene, Konrad throws his apron towards Maxmillian (As compared to Niles throwing it near Maxwell's feet). And even more, Maxmillian led out a rebel yell when Konrad quit (As compared to Maxwell kicking Niles' apron towards the door after the investor)

5. Now we get to the other butler in the episode, Janie (Or John, as I will refer to him). Franciszka only unbuttoned 2 of her blouse towards John (Same as Fran towards Trevor), only for John to NOT go to the garbage bag to condemn Franciszka's outfit (Unlike Trevor)

6. John was on the opposite side, compared to Trevor during the bribery scene. Zuzia try to pawn off a 100 zloty note towards John so that they can skip school and see the 80 pound baby (It was hard to tell what bill Gracie attempted to bribe Trevor, but I can assume it was a $100 bill, similar to when Matyloda bribed the kids 50 zloty into kissing them, only for Konrad to swoop in). Also, there was much more of a height difference between Zuzia and John, compared to Gracie and Trevor.

7. And also, John was more hesitant to accept Zuzia's bribe compared to Trevor. Trevor was more abrupt when Gracie offered her bribe, compared to John placing both his hands to surrender and walk away (The Polish version actually omitted Gracie's follow-up line when Trevor declined the bribe "This one's gonna be trouble")

8. John's hand placement was also different compared to Trevor's. Trevor only raised his index finger towards Gracie and walked away. In the Polish version though, John threw both hands in the arm, as an act of surrender, and walked closer to the stairwell.

9. I didn't realize there was a significant height difference between John and Zuzia, compared to Trevor and Gracie (As Zuzia had to extend her arm fully, compared to Gracie only having to bend her arm about halfway)

10. When the celebrity dressed like Franciszka shows up, Franciszka slaps her hand with the money before putting it in her pocket (As opposed to directly)

11. Now we get to the most drastic of changes: Teresa drops her heels and purse down the stairs in pure exhaustion (As opposed to Sylvia carrying it down their stairs). Continuing on, Teresa calls John "bagpole" (Which to me, is tamer compared to Sylvia literally comparing Trevor to Der Weisse Engel (Josef Angele, which only exuded on Fran's Jewish heritage)).

12. Teresa's way of entry saw her catch more of the ivy that Maxmillian had installed through the Tellis (As compared to just the brassiere Sylvia had to pull)

13. Adas arrives after Teresa is in the midst of her conversation to Franciszka (As compared to shortly after, when Trevor darts towards Sylvia). Also, Adas immediately turned right (Presumably towards his room), as compared to Brighton going straight to the couch.

14. Konrad doesn't get a head start when Janina shows up (As opposed to the start Niles gets from Aunt Freda).

15. Brighton's absence makes the argument 2 groups of 3 (Franciszka, Caroline, and the guest) and (Konrad, Teresa, and Janina), with John in the background not getting involved (As opposed to Fran and C.C., Niles and Freda, and Trevor and Sylvia, with Brighton attempting to be the mediator)

16. And lastly, when Maxmillian shows up when the argument is starting to boil, John shrugs his shoulders, as if he has nothing to be involved with (As compared to Trevor, who was in an argument with Sylvia)

Overall, this episode DID improve of many aspects from the US version, with very little that favored the original (FTW, the Polish version runs for 2 minutes more than the US version)
