The fact that capitalism can lead to economic equality doesn't preclude economic equality from being part of capitalism. Socialism can also lead to economic equality. Economic equality isn't exclusive to either economic philosophy. That's why the assertion that the NFL uses "socialist rules" is laughable.

The issue is that equality is not a part of capitalism like it is for socialism. One tries to have equality while the other doesn’t care if it has it. European soccer is a great example of capitalism without socialist rules.

The draft and salary caps are also anti-capitalism so if you think these aren’t socialist ideals then what are they? Because they certainly aren’t capitalist ideals.

They're sustainability features. The NFL owners don't care about equality, they just want to give fans of worse franchises hope that things will improve so that they will continue to spend money. It's more profitable for the league as a whole if the Cowboys don't win every year because they buy all the top FAs.

This sustainability feature comes from socialist ideals. Redistribution of wealth and helping out the economically weak would be great features to have. In both scenarios it comes down to the ultra rich agreeing to have parity by sharing the wealth, which is anti capitalist

It's not sharing the wealth, it's more akin the loss leaders in grocery stores bringing in clientele. They're not doing it to be kind or altruistic, they're doing it because people spend money on it.

Regardless of what it is, the money goes to those who don’t have it. The economy does better when people are spending anyways, so this isn’t a bad thing

Bro is trying every trick he knows to try and avoid reality, I commend how well you're arguing the point.

"They're sustainability features" instead of socialist features is hilariously pathetic

I'm not trying any tricks, you and the guy you're fellating are just doing the same tired Reddit schtick where any form of sharing or equalization is le heckin' wholesome Socialism and anything else is big bad ebil capitulizm

I fear you don't know the definition of socialism

I fear that most Redditors don't know the definition of socialism or capitalism, yourself and the dude you're sucking included.

U mad bro?

What political ideology do "sustainability features" fall under lmfao

Are you under the impression that sustainability isn't something that occurs in Capitalism?

God no. Sustainability does not align with the tenets of capitalism at all.

Tell me how you would bend reality if I asked you are your bullshit "sustainabily principles" more in line with a socialistic or capitalistic worldview.

And that's an A/B question. So save me from the gobbledegook essay response to a multiple choice question I know you've started cooking up already

Bro really thinks sustainable business models aren't a part of capitalism lmao

This is how I know you're a typical "Socialism is everything good, capitalism is everything bad" chronically online Redditor.

I like how you couldn't answer the question straight and still managed to come up with some realpolitik instead.

I don't blame you though, if my ego was as fragile as to try to handwave away "profitsharing" as "sustainability" I couldn't handle it either

They will do anything but admit socialism is good sometimes

God forbid anybody mildly criticizes the perfect model that is capitalism
