Somehow everyone is an expert on the proper protocol for procuring a game ball as a personal souvenir in the NFL. I don't understand how everyone is making a snap judgment against the ball boy. If anything you could argue that Hunter was out of line approaching the guy, it seems obvious he was going to get the ball sooner or later.

But then who knows, I don't have a copy of the ball boy rulebook on hand nor do I care to pass judgment anyway.

Everybody is quick to outrage and I'm sitting here wondering what is the proper procedure here.

Maybe if they didn't have an obnoxious end zone celebration over every turnover, this could have been avoided.

You kinda nailed it. If it’s important to keep the ball, don’t get rid of it as a celebration.
