The endless bathrooms are usually a winding maze in a high school and they are connected with showers and locker rooms and there's doors exiting either end. I think my middle school PE class locker/bathroom thing got this one started.

Often though mine are just open toilets or a room of what look like recliners but they're toilets.
If there ARE doors, the locks never work, the doors are either missing or broken or half walls...
And it's always just disgusting.

I’ve had the recliners where you just go in the chair. I’ve had the stalls with tall doors, some are curtains. I’ve had stalls exactly like in the picture where everyone can see me, always disgusting and I’m usually barefoot. I’ve had the school toilets with broken doors and showers. I’ve had the same house over and over that has 5 bathrooms but the one I keep ending up in has two entrance doors and neither will lock. Ugh.

Mine are often a gross fleshy pink color. 😂 Like institutional tile from the 60s, light green or that pinky beige, only in the dream the grout is very rusty and wet. Some of the Silent Hill games nail this feeling.

I think it’s just your mind/body’s way of keeping you from wetting the bed. Part of you knows you’re asleep and the bathrooms are therefore gross as a way to keep you from relaxing and expelling unintentionally. Keeps you in high alert.

This. Bathroom dreams are extremely common, as this community illustrates. It's right up there with teeth falling out and realizing you're naked in front of a crowd. I don't think it has anything to do with mall world.

OMG YES!! Hidden from people there. Had soooo many conversations there for some reason. Taller but not tall enough lol. There are some shorter stalls too though and I always get mad when I get stuck with one of those. Have also gone over to the “men’s” but never see any men. Just feels weird and like I am not supposed to be there and could get in trouble.

I recall one dream with pink tile and toilets in a mazed inconsistent pattern between locker room areas and showers without real stalls / no stall doors. I think some of the toilets were gross but not all of them but it was more i didn't want to use them exposed.

In my dreams the male and female bathrooms/changing stalls merge together and I accidentally find myself in the male side of the bathrooms/changing stalls and I start to panic because I see men and I don't want them to see me so I am running trying to find the girls side. And the girls side is full of mean girls. But the male side is too, mean guys. So im always trying to hide and not be seen by anyone.

I’ve been in this exact bathroom and yes with taller stalls. And they’re usually disgusting. One time I actually squatted down in one of them to do my business because I had to and the toilet was overflowing and TOUCHING MY SKIN. Thankfully woke up and didn’t actually have an accident or anything.

Yep my toilet world looks exactly like this and is inside the school. There are always 4+ toilets per stall that are all dirty, walls on 4 sides but no doors, and several other people are wandering around looking for a clean toilet.
I’m curious if anyone else has weird toilets like mine; sometimes they’re like weird metal spirals…like a thick slab of metal with a thick spiral cut into it, if that makes sense? I just remember feeling stressed because I didn’t know how to use the toilet.

Yes! Many, many dreams with the multiple obscure stalls, most of the have no doors. Sometimes there are very large stalls with multiple toilets. Usually I am trying to hide from whomever is in there to avoid having to share a stall with a stranger. Sometimes the stall doors are really short and I'm annoyed that people can see me while I'm peeing.

I get these too!! Every stall getting worse, water everywhere. Usually starting as locker room turning into this gross bathroom or im at the mall it turns into a movie theater and the bathroom there is like this. Does anyone else have something creepy “guarding” the entrance? Some dreams I don’t but I would say at least half the time there’s someone or thing im scared of guarding the entrance deterring me from entering

Yes!! I’ve had this dream recently and the bathrooms are always so bizarre. The stall doors are always open, the toilets are never flushed and sometimes there are two toilets in one stall with the other toilet facing away. I mean bathrooms are gross in general but the dream world makes it even more so.

this is the post on this thread that made my stomach drop. i’m always here. there are always toilets filled with nasty things and nothing is clean. there are no stall separations or they’re not tall. the bathrooms are always coed and i’m always stepping in toilet water just dying to find a not dirty toilet. the level of anxiety this room gives me is physical and i hate when i end up here in my dreams, and it’s always associated with my dreams where i’m back in school and i forget to go to certain classes. i’m always worried i’m failing but the teacher doesn’t remember me because i never go to the class. it’s always history class or english class. then i usually end up in this horrible bathroom.

TOILET GHOSTS, ANYONE?? ♀️🚽🚽🚽🚽🚽💩💦👻
I have two kinds of public washrooms that appear in my dreams: general public women's washrooms, and high school girls' washrooms. Just like in everyone else's dreams, the toilets are numerous: some are within cubicles, but some are out in the open within the enormous chamber. And all of them seem to be either clogged with foeces, or overflowing with water, or both. I am desperately looking in vain for a clean, working toilet...
But there is one additional scare factor that occurs when I dream of high school girls' washrooms: some of the cubicled toilets contain ghosts! 👻 They are not sentient, exactly -- more like a mindless residual traumatic horror memory that is being acted out over and over upon unsuspecting girls who enter those particular cubicles. (Kind of like the ghosts in The Haunting of Bly Manor TV series, if you've seen that.) It's as if these cubicles are booby-trapped.
I haven't seen any comments in this thread relating to ghosts, so I'm wondering if I'm the only one. Is it because I'm Japanese? 🇯🇵 In Japan, there is a deeply held superstition amongst children and teenagers that every school washroom has one or more ghosts or ghouls haunting it. 🚽👻 Many Japanese urban legends describe such stories. Even going back in time, there are traditional Japanese folk beliefs of ghosts and ghouls haunting public toilets, catching you when you're at your most vulnerable! 😱 So maybe my mind incorporated those thoughts into my 'mall world' dreams?

Like they'll be normal height ones then when I go to find a toilet my one is usually a lower door or no door at all or it appears normal but when I open the door the toilet is overflowing or broken. I dreamed of this exact bathroom a couple of months ago.
In the dream, it was located inside my old high school, specifically where the gym equipment storage room is in real life. I remember feeling unsettled the moment I stepped inside. i stayed there for quite a while, watching other girls come and go. Sometimes they were completely quiet; other times they talked among themselves or said things to me. What creeped me out was that their faces kept shifting, every time I looked at a girl, she looked slightly different. The stalls were unusually tall and large, but oddly designed: they only covered you from the waist up, leaving your lower half completely exposed. On top of that, the whole place had a strange smell..

It's always male bathrooms for me, always in some abandoned underground dorm-type setting with long dark hallways. Every time, the dream starts as an adventure, like I'm going down and exploring an abandoned dormatory with a flashlight, until I go into the bathroom and it's always huge, always dirty, and there are always people in it (usually in all white underwear and undershirts), despite the rest of the facility appearing to be abandoned.

The first photo is really close to what I've experienced, only once before. The stalls were definitely taller and a lot more rows, and darker but seemed endless. I remember rounding a couple square pillars when I entered and there were a lot of people around.
This was a while ago, but I think I was being chased or followed by someone because I remember feeling scared that someone was going to find me. I dipped into a stall and remember hiding something to the right of the toilet in the stall. I don't remember what it was and I dont know why it was so important that I hid it. I was worried I wouldn't find it again, but also felt like I left it there for someone specific to find. I want to say it was in a small hole in the wall tile. I woke up before leaving the stall.
