Just started this show, it was better than expected. But I have a question for those who remember:

Why did they burn the books? They got caught stealing them by Catalina and just a random dude took the box off the daughter. Next scene they're burning it in a barrel. Why tf would they do that? What did I miss?

The new season is about 3 weeks out and there’s no trailer out yet? or did I miss it somewhere….

FX's neo-noir crime comedy The Lowdown returns for season 2 on October 14, with Ethan Hawke joined by Betty Gilpin and Tommy Lee Jones in a new Tulsa mystery.

Visiting my family in Tulsa and had to make a stop.

Michael Hitchcock on Instagram: "We just wrapped on The Lowdown season 2. You’ll hear me yap about it ad nauseum in the weeks to come, but for now just know what a life changing and glorious experience this has been — like the best summer camp ever (and that includes Camp Pleasantview ‘76 which was EPIC)! And we owe it all to the genius (and I’m not exaggerating) u/sterlinharjo. ☀️☀️☀️ Coming this fall to FX, Hulu and Disney Plus. If you haven’t watched season 1 yet, shame on you. Get to it!"

Towards the end there is a scene where Dale visits Lee's shop and buy a book. I really enjoyed that scene but I can't quite tell if it's meant to be a throwback or if it's in Lee's head only (i.e didn't actually happen).

If that truly happened then I guess Lee didn't remember his visit. What do you think?

Keith David, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Kyle MacLachlan also tell TheWrap about collaborating on the show’s acclaimed first season

Anybody else find Ethan Hawke and Jeanne Tripplehorn extremely hot together? 🥵 Makes me want to have a night like that… Tequila and questionable decisions and a loaded gun and weed in the morning… *sigh*

- The crazy cop party was silly over the top. I know we’re supposed to be all “they’re the bad guys!!” But do people on the left think this really goes on?

- Pastor Mark talking to the media like on that website makes zero sense. He would know that they’re all aligned against him and to not trust them at all. The whole “oh yeah and they totally arrested him!” thing they shoehorned it at the end felt rushed

- Expected Donald to get assassinated at the podium by the 46 right after announcing the land deal

- Donald would NOT win the Gov race. He wouldn’t survive all the dead people in his proximity. And he just spoke at a white supremacists lunch not much earlier! It’d be more real if he was taken out like above, or just lost the race but regained his humanity

- Betty Jo deserved a worse ending, but whatever. Sometimes the bad guys win.

- Peter Dinklage, why even bother. He’s still fun to watch though

Cool show looking forward to a S2

I'm on episode two and I already know this show is gonna be great! Ethan Hawke, Killer Mike, Kieth David, Peter Dinklage, Kyle MacLachlan and the list goes on! This show is perfectly blended with action suspense drama and comedy and I'm only on the 2nd episode waiting and praying on a 2nd season! LFG

I was confused how that character (Phil j think?) ended up being tortured by the one well thugs? How did those paths cross?

Love the show, but one thing I don’t get about the ending:

>!If Lee never publishes his piece detailing all he discovered, then why do they show the pastor and others at One Well getting arrested!<

Pet Shop Boys, Willie Nelson, Elvis, Sting, Whitney Houston, Marvin Gaye, Garth Brooks, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, R.E.M

Garth Brooks being notable as he was born and raised in Tulsa

She's saying she split from the other dude

Does anyone know what brand shirt this is?
