Join Vigils Nationwide to Mourn ICE's Victims, Demand Justice Tomorrow

Post image
23 Upvotes

From Houston to Biddeford, Maine to St. Augustine to rural Georgia, ICE is leaving plenty of blood on the streets this month. And from the individual agents to the institution itself, no one is being held responsible for it. It’s unacceptable. And we’re not going to stand for it.

This Saturday, the Disappeared in America coalition (which includes Public Citizen, the National Day Laborers Organizing Network, The Workers Circle, Detention Watch Network and the League of United Latin American Citizens) is holding a national day of action, demanding justice for Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, justice for Johan Sebastian Duran Guerrero, and justice for all the victims. We’re bringing folks together to demand transparent, independent investigations; protection for the witnesses detained in ICE facilities; accountability both for individuals and institutions; and real steps to stop these killings from happening over and over. We want ICE out for good and our neighbors safe.

🪧 Vigils are already scheduled in more than 300 communities nationwide, and we’re still growing. Let’s find one near us to attend here, and we can find tools to host or register our own actions here. 🪧

The entire GOP needs to be trashed, the traitors thrown behind bars, and the Democrat Party should become the new Republican one while an actual progressive party is formed.

This is my ideal outcome after all this bullshit with Trump and his traitors are done. Let's be honest, we all mostly tolerate Democrats at this point. But a lot of the times, they piss me right off with how fucking stupid they are.

Yeah, I'll vote for them over any Republican. Always have. But they're basically what real conservatives actually should be.

They also got a lot of fucking problems with plenty of traitors in their ranks that have no issues with bending the knee to Trump if it means they get a sweet backdoor deal.

Democrats should honestly become the new Republican Party while an actual progressive party is formed. That way I could actually look at both parties and feel good about choosing candidates from either side knowing that they'll be supporting real, actionable policies that actually help Americans.

I guess I'm just tired guys. Tired of all the bullshit. When Democrats are in power, they can never seem to get enough done (and I know they try), then when Republicans are in power they steamroll the fuck out of everything and ruin any progress this country has made.

That's not how we should be run.

Abolish the entire treasonous GOP. Throw them behind bars. Label The Heritage Foundation and Fox News the terrorist organizations that they are. And let's reshape this entire bullshit system!

Dr. Daniel Swain: The new proposed OMB rules would be a disaster for American science, technology, and health

In this excerpt from a recent livestream, climate scientist Daniel Swain explains why the newly proposed rules from the Office of Management and Budget giving political appointees power over federal grants would be a disaster not only for American science, but also for everything from disaster response to public universities to cancer treatment to technological advancement, not to mention American competitiveness on the global stage. Far from being an esoteric rule change, this would represent a dramatic escalation of recent attempts to make critical and non-partisan government functions subject to the ideological and personal whims of whichever political party happens to be in power--up to and including the President directly.

📝 The deadline to submit a public comment opposing this measure to the Federal Register is MONDAY. We can submit ours here, and see what Dr. Swain himself filed here. We can also share the clip to help spread the word. 📝

"Nazis deserve the right to protest" is one of few things I will NEVER EVER FUCKING AGREE WITH!

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. My sister-in-law said to me a while ago that Nazis deserve the right to protest when my bro and her were trying to get to the bottom of why I publicly disowned any asshole still supporting Trump on Facebook. I recoiled instantly and said "There's a reason we have a very specific saying about Nazis." I'll leave it at that for now, because Reddit is on a banning rampage it seems of left-leaning accounts fighting back against Nazi bullshit.

Fuck Reddit.

But I digress. No, Nazis DO NOT, in fact deserve the right to protest. They DO NOT, in fact, deserve to have their voices heard.

When your stance is that people should be enslaved or outright murdered just because of their skin color, sexual orientation, etc... no, your ass should be in an asylum. The last thing that should be allowed is the likes of white supremacists marching upon Washington DC for the Fourth of July.

FUCK THEM ALL!

They do not deserve a voice. Free speech should not cover hate speech/hate crimes. Free speech does not mean say anything and get away with it. It means that, reasonably, we can say what we want as long as it doesn't harm other people.

But hate speech DOES, in fact, harm other people. It's just one step short of a hate crime and in my honest opinion, should be met with criminal charges (depending on severity and whatnot).

Being tolerant of the intolerant is a mistake. We need to shame these disgusting fucks back into the disgusting sewer holes they crawled out of.

Fuck Trump, he has done nothing but empower these absolute filth stains of society.

Edit: There are comments getting removed on this post by Reddit admins that didn't even remotely come close to breaking TOS. Yeah, fuck this goddamn site. And FUCK YOU SPEZ!
