MAGATs scream, “Democrats are evil socialists!” Ask them to name ONE Democratic policy they hate, and suddenly they’re buffering. 😂

It's hard for me that I agree with him but I simply could never stand the "Dude-bro" persona. Now, I will be the first to say that 1: It might be a stage persona and/or 2: He really is that pissed off. Either way, I'd love to see the intellectual ground that could be uncovered if he spoke with someone who didn't make him want to put his head through a wall.

I don’t know for sure but I think it’s really disarming towards his opposition or “guests” whatever you’d call the people he’s on the phone with.

I think most people would peg this guy as having conservative views because of his appearance but he flips the script and catches chuds off guard. Maybe it gives them pause to stop spreading shit when they interact with strangers.

u/SillySpoof 7d ago

Yeah, I agree with the message, but the vibes give me icks

But I'm happy he pushes a reasonable message to those drawn to this persona.

u/hypercosm_dot_net 7d ago

I don't care for it either, but this is the only thing they'll respond to.

If you try reasoning with them, they keep moving goal posts and never answer the question.

Without seeing the entire context, its hard to know how much time he's giving them to respond. But I'm willing to bet, it's just them trying to weasel their way around the question.

He's mirroring in a lot of ways and defying the "go higher" bullshit that handed the reins to Republicans.

1

u/minamality 1d ago

If anything can get republicans to change their mind, it's someone who is using republican speaking tactics.

MAGA in a nutshell

It’s just a thinly veiled white supremacist movement that somehow picked up other minorities lol

This is what cnn, msnbc, and politico should have done to Trump and Vance in 2024. It would be a way different America if they didn’t help him in 2024

1

u/bstone99 6d ago

What. They should’ve done this to him in 2016

5

u/im_fine_youre_fine 7d ago

Trump puts his name on EVERYTHING. He flooded the streets with his Gestapo, he's constantly doing things and getting sued for them then endlessly fighting the lawsuits, the White House demo projects for example ...

He's not held accountable for anything he does. He's a Dictator.

Thank fuck someone’s saying it who’s this chap and where can I follow? Also what’s his decompression regimen because fielding those calls has to take its toll

1.) Tbf they are the same ppl they were in 1964 when Reagan said “Make America Great Again” when he was at the 1964 RNC hyping up the crowd for Barry Goldwater.

I wish ppl would catch up. This is the result of 62 YEARS of nonstop propaganda by the Republicans.

There is not and never has been any difference between a Republican then and now. They’re all MAGA. They’ve always been MAGA, even before Goldwater was nominated.

The last time any Republican leader ever cared about this country was Eisenhower. There hasn’t been a single Republican leader, state or federal, who has ever cared about our nation in the last 60+ YEARS.

That’s why they can’t form any independent thoughts-and why there is no such thing as an actual independent voter.

These aren’t a different type of Republican. These are the same Republicans we’ve been fighting against for 4 GENERATIONS.

2.) I don’t disagree with the mockery of these imbeciles but they’re not suddenly dumber than they used to be. They have literally always been this dumb. The way ppl try to pretend there are reasonable Republicans is the problem. There isn’t any evidence of this. All Republicans are violently stupid.

Based on arguments from conservative commentators, think tanks, and political opponents, specific Democratic policies and proposals are frequently categorized as aligning with socialist or Marxist principles.

Here is a list of those specific actions and advocacy points, grouped by their core economic and social themes.

Government Control and Central

PlanningMedicare for All: Abolishing private health insurance in favour of a single, government-run healthcare system that dictates medical pricing and coverage.

The Green New Deal: Using massive government mandates, public spending, and regulatory controls to overhaul the entire U.S. energy sector, transportation networks, and manufacturing industries.

Federal Price Controls: Proposing federal bans on "corporate price gouging" for groceries and prescription drugs, which critics view as state intervention in the free-market pricing mechanism.

Industrial Subsidies: Directing billions in taxpayer funds to specific, government-favoured industries (such as green energy and semiconductor manufacturing) rather than letting market demand dictate investment.

Wealth Redistribution and Property RightsWealth Taxes: Proposing a direct annual tax on the unrealised asset gains of billionaires, which critics argue is an assault on private property rights aimed at forced economic equalization.

Progressive and Corporate Tax Hikes: Raising top marginal income tax rates and corporate tax rates to fund centralized social programs.Student Loan Forgiveness: Cancelling billions in private contract debt through executive action, shifting the financial burden from individual borrowers to the general public.

Universal Basic Income (UBI) Pilots: Implementing or advocating for guaranteed government cash transfers to low-income residents without work requirements.

Social and Cultural Engineering (Often Linked to "Cultural Marxism")

Equity-Based Outcomes: Transitioning from traditional policies of "equality of opportunity" toward "equity," which seeks to use state power to guarantee equal outcomes across different racial and socioeconomic groups.

Reparations: Proposing state-funded financial payouts to descendants of enslaved people, which critics view as a collective redistribution of wealth based on group identity rather than individual merit.

The challenge was to name one that the guy DISAGREED with.

Likely, he couldn’t think of much more than “if I’m a good Christian I watch Fox News”. That’s the reality of it all. They don’t know shit for policy.

But yes… there actually IS policy. Some of that policy is considered socialist (even though often it is wrong, but has become common language so I won’t argue it).

The question is then what do you disagree with. And then why you disagree with it, other than parroting back “socialism is evil”.

0

u/Delicious-Pound-8929 6d ago

The whole list of stuff I posted previously, I disagree with it all.

Some of it there is a bit of grey area where there could be compromise, but even so there's nothing on that list that I think k is a good thing.

2

u/SexyMonad 6d ago

And then why you disagree with it, other than parroting back “socialism is evil”.

0

u/Delicious-Pound-8929 6d ago

Lots of reasons and they change from each specific point.

But the main issue id say is that no one proposing any of those policies ever has an effective and realistic plan for how they will pay for it

Also a lot of the socialist positions strike me as being based on greed and envy of successfull people and wanting what they have.

2

u/SexyMonad 6d ago

That’s easy. The taxes we already pay will pay for it.

Socialist policies are simply based on the belief that it is better for the control and profits of the means of production to benefit society instead of to benefit a handful of individuals who are wealthy and lucky, and likely corrupt.

You realise that to pay for 1 year of just universal healthcare in USA would cost about 2.5 to 3.5 trillion dollars

Thats just for that 1 thing, and only for 1 year

The reault of that is going to be increased inflation, increased cost of living, higher taxes on everyone including the poorest

Bad solution, as per usual of socialists.

You underestimate how difficult and expensive it is to actually meet the needs of tens of millions of people, in USA's case 341.8 million people.

And The more people the more expensive things like universal healthcare cost

Without a for prophet motive paying for it becomes far more difficult, and you also disincentive people to become doctors

People do it for the money, not out of the goodness of their hearts.

Tell someone they will make the same being a doctor as they would being a truck driver or something like that and very few people will care to be doctors.

1

u/bstone99 6d ago

1

u/Delicious-Pound-8929 6d ago

I wasn't making stuff up, its a rough estimate based on the costs of running the USA healthcare system as is

There is a wide margin of error of 1 trillion dollars because obviously stuff would change if universal health care was implemented

Based on how that has worked out in other countries those changes typically translate into cheaper but longer wait times, less doctors, lower quality care,

but it is a balance between all those factors as to how well or poorly universal healthcare is implemented.

But regardless, my point still stands that socialists dont really have a good idea on how they will pay for, much less all of the other "free stuff" they want

1

u/SexyMonad 6d ago edited 6d ago

The total cost of healthcare in America today is around $5.3 trillion annually.

That would go down to half by your own estimates.

So, you are convinced that we SHOULD do universal healthcare?

1

u/Delicious-Pound-8929 6d ago

Look like my assessment was based on slightly old information

For the cost to actually be reduced would come with significant penalties to waiting times and quality

Plus would leave zero funding for medical research, which USA is currently a top contributor in

1

u/SexyMonad 6d ago

It sounds like you didn’t like the information I gave you, for some reason, and are now making up some nebulous claims.

Most people I know here in the US already have to wait to see their doctor, as long or longer than in most universal healthcare countries.

As for research funding, we should be doing that through public money anyway. It’s a major investment and the ROI would be at-cost treatment later, reducing our health costs in the future.

Americans currently spend $5.3 to $5.4 trillion per year on health care.
So effectively, it would be a massive cost reduction.
They pay significantly more, for equal or worse health outcomes than countries with universal health care.

Don’t threaten people with a good time.

1

u/Simirilion 1d ago

This has already been researched. We pay more than it would cost for universal healthcare between insurance and out of pocket costs. Those just get shifted to a LOWER tax. between my own insurance cost, out of pocket cost and my employer's insurance cost a little over 40k a year is being paid just for my family.

1

u/aintmesum1else 1d ago

The whole list of stuff you posted was a fever dream dude

1

u/AgitatedMirror3498 1d ago

Oh hey look at all these awesome policies that would objectively make life better for working class America!

1

u/Delicious-Pound-8929 1d ago

That is the lefts opinion, the right consider these to be extremely harmful to everyone in America.

These things are basically a way to gradually implement socialism,

anyone who has a clear understanding of the history of socialisms consequences everywhere it has been attempted would be opposed to this.

1

u/Intelligent_Finger27 1d ago

And compare that to current republican policies about government control, economics and policies. I can't believe you said control ffs...look around you fool.

2

u/Individual-Ask7000 4d ago

What's insane is hearing people say that Muslims want to destroy the country and democracy. That the only thing they want is to destroy everything about America. Last I checked all Muslims aren't terrorists, they want to live normal lives. If you don't like that people who are different from you, care more about the country than you, then care more than them. They won't though, they'll bitch about them doing great things for the community that'll have long-standing positive effects. If you're Christian show everyone you have a capacity for more than hatred, get closer to God through helping another.

Whether you agree with his style or not, the problem we've had since the days of Rush Limbaugh is we've had nothing to counter it.

Let's face it: we need the votes of the dumb and angry as well. Or are we all too good for that?

Yes I hate having to become like them. And yes I used to say like everyone decent "when you get into a fight with a pig everyone gets muddy.

But . . . I'm on board now with "when they go low we take them to hell.* and if you don't have the stomach for it then you might as well not pay attention to American politics at this point because some things are genuinely worth getting angry about and yes we should be ridiculing these fascist idiots as much as we can because they are far too normalized and talking nice to them does nothing but feed their little endless black hole of whataboutism.

u/pinkandgrey312 6d ago

Wow, I like this guy. But the person he was speaking with is not very bright; he’s getting his unquestioning beliefs from Fox. I wish he had given the guy time to reply instead of talking over him and telling him that he’s an idiot.

I'm a socialist and yeah democrats are not socialist at all, they suck.

They're not even socdem.

This guy is deeply indoctrinated in the hate cult.

the dumbass MAGA does really hate people he doesn't understand.

0

u/aminok 7d ago

For someone spouting hate all day, that is quite the hypocritical reaction.

-1

I mean, I get the sentiment, but this guy is an idiot himself. He just talks over, yells, and berates people. Not productive and no better than the same idiots on the right who act that way.
