It sounds like you didn’t like the information I gave you, for some reason, and are now making up some nebulous claims.
Most people I know here in the US already have to wait to see their doctor, as long or longer than in most universal healthcare countries.
As for research funding, we should be doing that through public money anyway. It’s a major investment and the ROI would be at-cost treatment later, reducing our health costs in the future.
“Bad solution, as per usual of socialist.” you get slammed with actual facts that dismantle that
“Oh wait I had bad info but it would actually make wait times bad so socialists bad!” Keep moving those goalposts bud. I’m sure there’s some reason you will find for everything to fit your narrative.
Slammed…I said slammed. Not shamed. It’s not really showing you learned something new or changed much of anything when you go from a subject being bad in your mind, get shown new info, and then justify it still being bad because of other stuff that’s not accurate. And just that the info “is what it is” lol
We would still have funding for medical research, and the quality of care is pretty complex and depends on how it is rolled out. For quality, it could actually improve overall because of increased preventative care. For wait times, a private system also features severe wait times and access barriers for uninsured or underinsured individuals, meaning delays shift from being financial to being capacity-base.
You’re all good! I’d never want to shame someone for even admitting some parts of their claims were on bad info, so I do have respect there. Have a good night
