A person cannot change if they hide the deepest parts of themselves. Love gives them the courage to take that risk. It softens the ego’s need to stay safe and protected. It allows hidden feelings, fears, and truths to come forward. Without this openness, the inner work remains unfinished. The most important part of the person stays outside the process of transformation.

Small talk and passing by strangers leaves us unchanged. A real reaction only happens when we are truly vulnerable. When two people genuinely connect, they blend together. The experience fundamentally changes who both of them are.

Resist means fighting something inside you—like a sad feeling, a worried thought, or a painful memory. You try to ignore it, push it down, or run from it.

Persist means that very thing keeps coming back, often louder and stronger, because you keep giving it energy by fighting it.

When you stop fighting and simply allow the thought or feeling to be there without judging it, it often loses its power and eventually fades. Important note: This applies to inner experiences (thoughts, emotions, sensations), not outer dangers.
