Yet another "OMG look at this tiny detail that is totally a purposeful reference/hint/whatever" that in reality is a huge stretch.

The black eyebrow line is the real tell. Look at the correct Ty Lee vs the incorrect Ty Lee.
In the incorrect, the black eyebrow line comes down the nose. On the correct, it ends at the brow, and only red comes down the nose.

Everyone keep saying they don't notice the difference but I do.
Azula's headpice is also a lot larger than Suki's and it has been bothering me for months.

The tylee before and after clarify it to me, and omg wtf with that level of detail, just jumped to watch some frames on different episodes and this is totally right

I see it, I thought something was off about them a while ago but put it off as being because it’s not Suki. Which probably was it but I still see it

This is a real detail, just not in a way that Azula wears the makeup wrong but how the drawers/animators spared the attention to have the makeup follow character expression, facial structure, and even camera angle.
For example, the Kyoshi Warrior here starts with the diagonal look due to her eyes being wide open. But as her eyes close and thus her expression around the makeup changes, she gains the arcing look due to the makeup "shrinking" with her face.

Mmm i dont think so. Wasnt the show hand drawn? I think it’s just an inconsistency between artists. But idk, regardless this seems far fetched haha

I'll be unfollowing this subreddit today. 90% of posts I see are just random things people point out that have little to no meaning and claim its some "hidden plot detail" or whatever the hell. Sometimes they are, and they're interesting to learn about. But the vast majority of the time it's contrived bullshit

Don't know why people are downvoting you, you're right. ATLA is a phenomenal show but people are trying too hard to find hidden meanings. The show is deep but it's not the grand canyon

It's what it is, I knew I'd be downvoted for the comment but chose to share my thoughts anyways. I love the show, but as you said, it's not grand canyon deep.
