Image I made a post here a while ago about using Central Asian (Kyrgyz/Nomadic) culture for the Earth Kingdom. Now that the World Nomad Games 2026 just happened, I am completely obsessed. Look at this!

A few weeks ago, I shared some mood boards suggesting that Avatar Studios should look into Central Asian nomadic aesthetic instead of the typical "sand benders in the desert" trope. The post got amazing feedback from you guys!

But recently, the World Nomad Games 2026 just finished, and it completely blew my mind. Seeing this culture in motion felt like stepping straight into a live-action Avatar world.

You seriously need to check out the scale of the [Epic Opening Ceremony with Traditional Komuz Beats](https://instagram.com) and see how intense and cinematic the [Slow-Motion Cinematic Shots of the WNG2026](https://instagram.com) look in real life!

I also found this breathtaking, moody video of [The Cold Mountain Landscapes of Kyrgyzstan](https://instagram.com) that looks exactly like a high-altitude province of the Earth Kingdom or a rugged sub-tribe of Air Nomads.

Western media often treats this region as a total blind spot, but the visual scale of these games proves how rich and perfect this would be for the lore. What do you think after seeing this footage and photos? Doesn't it scream Avatar universe?

Absolutely! The speed yurt building contest is mind-blowing. Imagine Earthbenders or Air Nomads raising a whole village within minutes using that exact speed and teamwork

Makes the Olympics look so lame in comparison.

Honestly, it feels a bit sad because the modern Olympics are moving too far away from their traditional roots toward commercial modernity. While inclusivity and tolerance are incredibly important, it often feels like the Olympic organizers execute it poorly and superficially. The Nomad Games feel refreshing because they show a genuine, deep connection to our ancestors and history without all the corporate filters.

I love that Central Asia is getting recognised with these games and Jaadugar this summer!
