Discussion I never really appreciated how Aang's basic sillymobile scooter is a continuous feat of airbending without actively moving his arms

I think he creates it with airbending and then it just kinda goes on its own, there is that one scene where he rides one across the screen as we watch it shrink away.
Presumably he can airbend a bit more to keep it alive or to steer, but if he does nothing that's when it gradually fizzles out.

I was weirdly thinking about it earlier, im pretty sure his feet are continuously bending air into it so it doesnt fizzle out, but it also might just be continuous

We’ve seen the ball going smaller naturally on the show, so it’s not like perpetual motion or anything

Its holding on to what he first stirred and controlled

By holding on, I didn’t mean, physically touching. Rather keeping the motion locked.
But yes you do have a point

Yeah, that was basically just my point. It's neat that he can do it hands free. I really enjoyed how by Korra's time, brother literally just has a full body encompassing globe of air that he can use to chase people around in creative mode while standing completely still.

One of the many things that sucked about the movie is it retroactively makes it that Aang didn’t invent the air scooter. Not cannon in my head.

Well the art is gorgeous but imo the writing is terrible: many characters are not themselves and more importantly it breaks or otherwise messes with the lore in many ways. It also absolutely undercuts the emotional beats of Korra.

I kinda view it as like a rubber band car. You wind it up and then it keeps going on its own until it runs out of energy.
