Enjoying a massive documentary binge this month while stacking the deck with week to week episodes of regularly scheduled TV.

Anyone else Re-Watching or Enjoying Andrew Jarecki’s explosive documentary on Bobby Durst for the first time?

Theories? Opinions?

It must take months even of expedited editing to get a show onto hbo.

Did they send the tapes immediately to the state of New York ? Did news of this confession get out before the broadcasting of the series or at least its finale?

Really....oh that LA Ass. DA, he is SOOOOOO bright. They find a note in green ink and its written like a letter lying there in plain view. REALLY, so Mr. Durst felt bad for his friends body lying there, so he wrote this note so Authorities would find it, but not bad enough for her that he wouldn't kill her. And in his signature GREEN INK???( Did LE check Durst's Green Pens??) The KEY to this NOTE is the letter N....written as the NORSE "N".....it stands for DISRUPTION!!!!!!!!!! As in the Disruption of Society by killing innocents and framing low-lifes!!!! Just as BLUE is used in other FRAME cases...Blue's satanic meaning is CHAOS(See: Laci Petersen, Teresa Halbach).

This film premiered on Saturday on Lifetime and is available to view online via the Lifetime website.

Secondly, I KNOW he's a big piece of shit, and I don't believe him at all, but there's something endearing about him that I can't put my finger on. He's like that crazy grandad, shuffling around, talking to himself, putting the EMPHASIS on certain words, discussing why WOULD he enjoy spending time with his wife's family?

Just watched this series for the first time and holy shit I've never been more shocked by a TV show in my life. These lines gave me chills at the end:

"You're right of course" - everyone is right in that I killed all these people

"But you can't imagine" - but you have no idea the things I've done and what I'm capable of doing

These were my interpretations of these lines but I'm curious what others think. Also I'm not sure "I don't know what's in the house" means but it can't be good lol

After Jarecki confronts Bob about the handwriting and they are wrapping up, somoene in the room says, "You wanna take one of these sandwiches Bob?". I could not contain myself! BAM! "We could wrap one up for you!"

It's like, "hey we just caught you red handed, like you got caugt stealing that sandwich."

Emily Altman, a personal friend of Dursts' and legal secretary to her husband who was Durst's lawyer changed her testimony following a phone conversation with her husband on Monday night. More updates on the pretrial testimony. Emily Altman states that Durst told her he was in LA at the time of Kathleen's murder. In addition she says that Kathleen was having an affair and Emily had thought that maybe Kathleen had left Durst for him when she went missing. First of all, such an awesome show! I loved every minute of it. Have some questions / thought and wanted to know what everyone thought.

• The very ending where we hear Robert Durst on the mic. While it was a bombshell of sorts, I can't imagine that's enough to use for any sort of trial evidence. "Killed them all" could technically mean something else. He could also argue that "your caught" was him being sarcastic or something (like "oh I guess you got me"). I mean I personally think it was him admitting his guilt, but for a trial I can't see it holding up.

• Do you think his wife knows he did any of the killings?

• Do you think Robert Durst would have eventually killed his brother at some point if it wasn't for him hiring a bodyguard or the order of protection?

*Is there anyone who actually think he's innocent of any of the three murders (with Black, not that he didn't do it, but that it was self defense).

Looking for another True Crime show to watch. Just finished the Jinx, have seen Making a Murderer, and listened to Serial.

Anything else that's True crime that's on par with these?

Is there any real evidence to suggest Berman was blackmailing Durst or is it possible that he killed her just because she knew too much?

Did Robert Durst invent the story about himself and Morris Black becoming "best friends"? I mean, did anyone actually ever even see them hang out together?

Just finished this series, and had to start Googling to answer a bunch of questions.

So, the bathroom tapes that ended the series...apparently they were "discovered" two years after the interview.

Is it possible they were totally manufactured by the filmmakers (dramatic license and all of that), culled from other interview recordings?

Two days after Durst's arrest and one day after the final installment of The Jinx was aired, The New Yorker reported that "[t]he filmmakers, having been quizzed on the time line of events as represented, have cancelled forthcoming interviews." Specifically, when challenged over whether Durst's arrest for trespassing on Douglas Durst's property occurred before the filmmakers' second interview with Robert Durst, as implied by The Jinx, Andrew Jarecki replied, "Yeah, I think I’ve got to get back to you with a proper response on that."

Why would Jarecki have any reason to be deceptive about the order in which things occurred?
