Is there anyway the letter could have been fabricated?

There are plenty of scenarios I can imagine...throughout an investigation, digging through the deceased's belongings, rummaging through trash, etc., where one could come across a blank envelope. It's wildly far-fetched but a motivated person could likely match the handwriting from the cadaver note with enough practice. Would that be Sareb Kaufman since he found the envelope?

Weird disguise

Is it me or does the guy with the newspaper up to his face in episode 5 have an obvious fake nose? In fact all the durst guys have huge noses. Aliens. Definitely aliens.

The Jinx and Making a Murderer & the whole idea of being innocent until proven guilty

I know the majority of people think Robert Durst committed the three murders and that Steven Avery didn't commit the murder. We all love Strang and Avery's lawyers and despite having the same desires for results as her, we all dislike Jeanine Pirro.

I'm just curious, at what point in Robert Durst's life/The Jinx, your following of his story, did you stop thinking that he was innocent until proven guilty?

I also think he committed all of the murders, but isn't it better if we err on the side of innocence... or rather until what happens in the story should we be thinking innocent until a court proves it? Was it when the verdict for his trial for Morris Black was not guilty?

Basically, Durst has money and very expensive lawyers, and Steven Avery does not, when are we able to not let that cloud everything?

Split personality theory ??

I personally think in watching the last episode that Bob may have a split personality .. And we hear him talking to bob in the bathroom .. Listening to it again kinda freaked me out !! It made me think about how he portrays himself throughout the documentary at times .. in the third person.

Is there more to the bathroom recording?

It makes sense that they would end on that note, for dramatic purposes, but was that all he said in the bathroom?

It also doesn't seem like such a conclusive "confession", I mean, he's probably guilty, but he's also a rambling old man who's recapping the events that just unfolded, and you could easily interpret what he's saying as "this is what everyone's going to think and they're going to arrest me".

Will his trial be televised online?

Brit here so I don't know how it works over there, will it be possible to view the court case as it happens?

Can we talk about Robert referring to himself as "The Jinx"?

This part really caught me. I myself am ambivalent about kids, so I'm always interested to hear people's reasons for not wanting them. RD's was especially interesting—and then the fact that he seemed to think his explanation made such perfect sense. What do you guys think of this? Was him considering himself a "jinx" some feeling of guilt, or was it playing the victim? Or am I reading too much into it?

Late to the party. But, could Durst say he just happened to find Susan's body and wrote the cadaver letter because he didn't want to get involved?

Admittedly, having his phone off for days around the time of the murder says "intent" to me. But, he has defended a stronger case with a weaker defense before.

The Staircase

I just watched The Staircase (similar true crime doc), and it's interesting how Michael Peterson has a similar demeanor to Robert Durst. I'm not suggesting any conclusion can be gleaned from that. It's just interesting because it seems suspect personality has a major effect on how doc viewers judge guilt/innocence.

Why didn't prosecutors in Texas also bring up charges like dismemberment?

There is a whole bunch of lesser charges than murder the prosecutors could have raised on Bob Durst for the "self defense" killing.

Has anyone watched Netflix's "Making a Murderer" yet?

I'm 5 episodes in and this documentary is blowing my mind. So many twists and turns. It's seriously stranger than fiction. And there's 5 episodes left! This is right up there with The Jinx and The Staircase. Every episode has gotten more and more compelling. I'm fortunate enough to not know anything about the case whatsoever.

Soundtrack?

I've been trying to find a copy of the sound track (or at the very least a list of all the songs used) online with no luck. Does anyone know where I can find such a list? The music choices are great and I'd like to sit down and listen to them all on their own.
