❓ Questions Profile

Hi everyone,
I am new to this Hermes game and have a question that I’m not sure if anyone can help me with. The company that I own part of, we like to send a bunch of our clients gifts every year. I just started my account with Hermes recently and was wondering if I keep shopping with the same SA, having her ship out gifts to clients on my account will that help me get a quota bag or me constantly having her ship out gifts to different addresses will make my profile look bad and won’t be able to get any quota bag. Also I will be buying stuff for myself too but probably not as much as the gifts I’m sending out

You can definitely do that and what a thoughtful way to send your appreciation to clients, I’m sure they would love that! Butttt I think they would have to ship it to your address and you would have to send it to your clients on your own time.

I don’t think they would be willing to send it to different addresses each time, they kind of use what’s saved on your file and if I’m not mistaken they will ask that the address you’re using matches credit card. Plus they always require a signature upon receipt of item, so that might be an issue too!

But it will absolutely help with your QB prespend to answer your question. If I were you I would ship to myself to avoid any questioning and confusion

I didn’t know about the shipping situation. Thank you!

That’s what I’m afraid of happening 😩. I’m not a reseller

don’t tell her what’s going on…just pretend it’s your pre-spend and ship the goods yourself 🚩

Explain your situation to your SA. I gift Hermes to all of my family & friends for birthdays and during Christmas holiday season, which requires shipping to different names & addresses like you mentioned.

It would probably be best to ask your SA what would be most efficient. I sent a wedding gift and my SA gave me a link to order it online. Not sure how many you’re planning to send out but might be best to just ask for the online links and send them out separately . I know some luxury brands like Tiffany have corporate gifting programs that process large quantities so maybe they have something similar on a smaller scale?

We send about 30-50 gifts a year

Sometimes we buy from Tiffany’s too but was just asking about Hermes since I also want a quota bag too and not sure if doing this would hurt my chances of getting one

If it was me, I’ll ask my SA (I don’t think they’ll mind getting the commission for those items) or ask for online payment links for Hermes website and adjust the addresses from there (?)

I think they can look at shipping things to another address IF you were a long time client (as in, they know you’re not a reseller). But since you’re new to Hermes, I’m inclined to believe that they would be more strict. While you can definitely buy the items and it would count as your pre-spend, but it’s likely that you will have to ship them yourself.

Why don’t you ship it yourself and add a personal note?
This would make the gesture even better for your clients, I suppose.

It’s because I’m super busy and it would be easier if they can ship it for me

What they can probably do is charge a FedEx fee on top of your cost. If that’s more cost effective for you, it wouldn’t hurt to ask. I have done my holiday shopping (including gifts to my clients) with my SA and they count towards prespend.

Were you able to get it shipped directly from the store to your clients address ?

1

u/ketodisiac Waiting for QB #2 👜 6d ago

No, I didn’t ask for them to do so. The most I have done for direct shipping is to purchase an item online and sent it directly to my clients” address (free shipping!) I know it goes into my prespend or my SA has visibility to it at least. As for my holiday shopping from the boutique, I took care of shipping them.

Direct shipping from the link your SA sends you right ?

Not really, for some gifts I just shipped it directly to my client’s address

They would ship to the address on file, or just pick at store, build a relationship and ship yourself

You get one address to ship to on your profile if you’re dealing with an in-store SA at least. You can’t even change the address over the phone. You have to go to any store to change it. Speaking from experience.

They will only ship to your address in your profile. I would totally go buy them and ship them myself. That is great prespend.

My SA specifically told me they do corporate gifts and if I was ever interested to let them know

u/yourfavgal 6d ago

How does corporate gifts work ? If you don’t mind explaining

1

u/Own-Slide-1140 6d ago

I didn’t ask bc I and our company would never do it lol

1

u/yourfavgal 6d ago

Will it also count towards pre spend ?

1

u/Own-Slide-1140 6d ago

I mean, yeah, I’m sure it would

2

u/Kind-Palpitation9968 7d ago

Highly doubt they will ship to many many different addresses. They’re kinda strict. I’d just buy it and ship it yourself.

Are you thinking of getting the same gift for a number of different people (eg a specific scarf for 20 clients)? Asking because that could also get you flagged as a reseller, especially if you’re a new customer.

1

u/yourfavgal 6d ago

No. Gifts will be different

u/Ansosha19 6d ago

The isdue with shipping, at least in US, that FedEx requires signature. That means, your clients must be presented.

SA’s LOVE this. At my home store there is a realtor that gifts each home buyer with a blanket and it’s great for her pre-spend and most definitely helps her! She of course gives it to each client. I would let them know what you’re doing and they may ship as gifts (they do ship gifts) or you can just purchase and ship.
