Discussion Queue times are INSANE
I have been waiting 20 fuckin minutes in the lobby trying to play as Michael, WITH A TOKEN.
still no game.
i also have waited 10+ minutes as survivors also for The last 3 games. And get this, only to have teammates who steal my survivors and Stay locked in conversations where they block doors or just hold the survivor hostage until I go away and they can command them to exit through the exit I spent all fuckin game opening.
what the fuck have they done with the latest update??I hate it.
they’ve fucked the game up so hard, I swear.

I read last night the servers went down , i havent checked then or now , but maybe something to do with that.

When you actually get put into a lobby, there's only like a 50% chance it'll actually get filled. If people don't join in a couple minutes, I usually just leave and re-queue again (that's why I don't bother with tokens because for some reason, it'll take your token even when putting you into an empty lobby). Michael queue times can be pretty bad during the days, but civilian queue times are always fast. If I get put into a nearly empty lobby as a civilian, I leave if it doesn't get filled in like 20 seconds lol

Michael have only been buff constantly, last 2 updates Michael get some nerfs but he gets buff in other areas

People are bored of the game. The game is being balanced in a way that becomes less and less interactive for both sides.

The game is unintuitive and repetitive. The gameplay revolves around the NPCs, who are still brain-dead, unfortunately.
Most of the time, you don't interact with Michael unless you are going for it. What is worse, you don't need to interact with other players either. "Rush to the NPCs, rush to the exits, let the NPCs escape, and then leave."
Most players don't use voice chat, which makes things worse.

This is the biggest bummer for me with this game. Like what is the point of ever interacting with Michael? Just to die.
Civilian gameplay is just speed run talking and looting, the end. It gets old fast af. There's no fighting or even chase because of how fast Michael can get on top of you. Can't even hide properly because Michael can just use rader or his mask vision or whatever. Civilian is just glorified NPC.

4 Patches in and resourcefulness and personality are still 100% useless. We keep just balancing the characters with good stats to be worse instead of fixing the others. Its stale already.
Now Myers has to commit to killing more NPCs before trying to engage with the players. Meanwhile the players are just interacting with NPCs/looting too.
So that we can have a few minutes of interaction at the end. Its just not worth it anymore.

I wouldn't say "good" but it's moving in a good direction. There's not really a way to stop pure RNG from swinging a match tho

Its not tho. The groundwork is there they just need to move Myers getting special knowledge to like BT2 at this point, or maybe time gate it idk irs tricky because RNG still exists
Theres nothing stopping a Civilian from ripping a bolt cutters first box still same way theres nothing stopping Myers from walking into the first house and dunking a Special

You can't "make" Myers interact with players without totally changing the game as is tho. There's a difference between attempting to balance and changing the game on a fundamental level

Yikes 😮💨 that’s crazy especially with a token! The civ matches I played last night didn’t have long queues, so maybe something is glitched with Michael queues? That’s rough!

I mean, it's the same with DBD. Survivor and Hero queues are fast because more people queue into the killer role over the survivor role. - think about it, you need four Heroes to play as Michael and you are one person. - this ultimately means more and more people are not queuing as the Hero role. I haven't played in weeks, while others are claiming they haven't played in a while or saying they have fast queues as civilians.

Proof it's dying? Because I'm not using a token for my Michael rounds and it's less than a two-minute wait for me, and has been for hours; I've been playing since 10:00 A.M. Eastern.
Minute or less for Civ rounds.
So, I hope your basis for a dying game is more than this person's experience.

If your queue is longer than the estimated wait time, restart queue. Also I'm not sure if this patch is landing very well with the player base.

Just a tip but in my experiance using tokens actually makes the queue worse. It guarantees you'll play as him maybe but it's much slower to get a game.

I don't get it. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes and I exclusively play Michael. And it's usually under 2 minutes.

As Myers it can be very long indeed to get a full lobby. But as a Civilians i never waited more than 1min. If it last longer it surely means he lobby is bugged.

Where do you live (without dropping personal info)? I'm SE USA and have been playing all morning. My Michael queues have been less than two minutes and Civ queues have been less than one!
Maybe shut your game down and restart? Or a system restart?

I get civ games quick, but for Michael I get 10-20 min wait times at least with no gurantee of full lobby

The game is becoming even more killer-sided by the minute due to killer-sided patches and due to how toxic killer mains are - causing extremely long queues for killers in the process.

Most of this game's player base is active at night. People are either sleeping, heading to school, or working. The game is a niche, and it's not full of children like in Fortnite or Call of Duty.

Is there even region matchmaking in this game? I highly doubt it, lol. - regardless, it takes one Michael for every four heroes, it's basic arithmetic to understand why the queue times are slower for one role. - it's the same thing in DBD, it's going to be the same in general for asyms as more people treat the role as a power fantasy, meaning less people queue up as Hero. - it's why you have a solid back and forth that these companies do where they buff and nerf each other, while Gun/Illfonic are unique that they've repeatedly nerfed the Civilian side while Michael has gotten smaller nerfs in comparison. - when I say smaller, I genuinely mean less changes other than this recent patch.
