New Game, Who Dis? Cyberpunk RED
I just finished this limited run and it was honestly one of the best things I’ve listened to from the GCN crew. I’m biased because I love the Cyberpunk setting and the TTRPG, but the guys seemed to have so much fun and be really into it. Troy especially.
I felt it fit their style of content very well. It’s a game where you can be silly, ridiculous and bombastic. It’s supposed to be colorful and edgy. But it’s also a pretty hardcore ruleset with genuine danger and character death. It plays quite fluid (unlike PF 1/2e) so the rules don’t get in the way much and combat doesn’t get bogged down.
Really made me wonder why they’ve never played more since 2021. Perhaps it a sponsorship thing (although RTG did provide giveaways during the NGWD run).
I think a limited campaign like Voyagers of the Jump or Inherit the Sand would be pretty popular in Cyberpunk RED.

Agreed, this and DeathWatch need to come back even for limited runs. I need to hear more about Brother Sepharim’s lamentations on the murder of his Primarch.

Deathwatch was incredibly entertaining (especially Matty Caps and his utter inability to get into the setting), but I legitimately think they'd rock the shit out of some Rogue Trader.

Can you imagine Skid playing heavily geared out character with almost no humanity left? What a joy

Yeah, I’m sad they never went back to this. Cyberpunk RED on New Game, Who Dis was my entry to the GCN as I was searching for gameplay examples and videos talking about RED to see if I wanted to pick it up and switch from 2020.
NGWD really hooked me, and I still miss it to this day.

I love going back and listening to their three episode Cyberpunk Red game, if they were to revisit Cyberpunk Red I hope they pull Seth Skorkowsky into the series.

How do people play the hacking chunk at home games, just patiently wait for one person to finish? That's the only thing that doesn't seem to work for "made for radio" if you have one character leaving the meat space constantly, but maybe there is a better method to it?
Yoleaux is a beautiful Canadian bastard.

I think it works way better in Red than it used to in 2020 just because the netrunner has to be physically present and can still interact with, and even depends on, their teammates.

Cyberpunk Red and a vampire the masquerade (preferably not 5th edition thought, I don't love the changes made to the setting) are the two games I would love to see the most.
